My first ever visit to a boneyard. I wanted to go and lick the Connie, but they said they'd have me arrested if I did. I reluctantly agreed not to.

Awesome pictures! If you don't mind me asking, how did you get access? Is it normally open to the public? Or are you military? Just curious!

Thank you and no military,English civilian. You buy a VIP pass for $16 which lets you into the main museum and restoration hangar until they close at 4PM and the boneyard which closes at 3.30PM. The Connie is only open evert third saturday.

It's hard to tell the -111 and -14 when they're striped down to frame sometimes.

You'll be that guy that lives in the rafters and air ducts, that only comes out at night to sit in the cockpits making airplane noises to himself.

Now that is some place I would like to go. Now how do I convince the wife that the Boneyard is better vacation than a B&B in Savannah?

-111, have a look at the wheels, the F-14's wheels are vertical outside the engines, the -111's are under the plane

Didn't even think of that. I was looking at the fuel dump and engine placement.

Try here. It isn't too far from Palmdale, CA.

They have a MI-24 Hind there if you need too.

I need one. I really need one. I'll even call it a traffic clearance device to make people feel better.
