The quoted section I included covers the constitution, who is actually taking action is covered by the title of the thread........those are the 2 premises - I supplied the conclusions that fits them.

Amazon are not selling the flag, amazon are not the US Govt (or an agent of it), the 1st amendment prevents the Govt from curtailing free speech - therefore amazon not selling flags is not a first amendment issue.

That's not a liberal interpretation or anything else - it is a simple summation of facts - are any of them wrong?

Interesting that you feel this way now because it wasn't that long ago you were telling us how toys r us should remove toys from their toy store.

Anyway I agree censorship will solve nothing if anything it pisses people off more.

Eventually they will be slowly avaiable again. Heck many blacks have the confederate atop their roof on their classic car (not all of them general lee style but certainly inspired). Yes the flags are not forbidden and legal, the companies took them down voluntarily to not run counter to American street sentiment.

It seems that while most merc of the confed flag is still avaible on amazon DE, they did take down the flag itself today. I am sure its still plenty available from other services in Europe. Its just like with the Nazi flag, impossible to get in Germany if its not out of somones attic, but just go a bit further east and you get a bust of uncle adolf if you fancy that.
