I've only been in the back of a cop car a couple of times, and they were all "everyone pile in and we'll go uptown/to eat/etc"
voluntary sorts of being in the back of a cop car.

(sheepish grin) I HAVE been in the driver's seat once. You don't want to know.

Which part was a defense of them? When I said I think somebody got lazy? The part where I said somebody either didn't do a search period, or if they did they missed the gun? Or was it the part where I said the partition has a window and the perp could slip his cuffs and get through it?

Yea, I don't defend NOPD for anything and how you can interpret anything I said as a defense of them is mind boggling. Maybe this cop was dirtier tha Pig-Pen from Peanuts. I don't know. Do you?

You taking any of the above as a defense of NOPD says a lot, IMHO.....

Kinda weird. I have been in the back of the cop car a few times, they searched me very thoroughly. Found the excedrine migraine in the mini pocket of my jeans even, let alone my knives lol. No way to get into the front from the back when I slipped my hand up front because cuffs in the back were annoying. Solid bulletproof plexiglass seperating front from back. That was in NY mind you, so maybe not the same.

Only time I could have ever harmed a cop when I was in custody, was when I was up front sitting shotgun uncuffed, on the way to the drunk tank.

Shamrock does not blindly defend cops, if he sees reason to he does, if he doesn't he says that too.

I don't know much about OCSD, but the stories I've heard about NOPD are truly god awful. "Corrupt" barely scratches the surface of it.

Yeah OCPD is pretty bad as well. A few years ago the sheriff got bust for dropping charges for 5k.

Thats nothing though ive personally witnessed far worse. The department controls the county jail as well so you can imagine what they are able to do to the prisoners when no one is looking. Thats when i lost all faith in the system and realied that humans cannot have control over other humans like that and everyone on the planet needs to be armed and able to fight.

Stories I heard about NOPD were picking up white girls on bs charges, taking them into the projects and threatening to dump them unless they did *whatever*. And that's just one line I heard, and that was pre-Katrina
