My current girlfriend is 22 years my junior. We've been together for ten years, so neither of us is exactly a baby.
My previous girlfriend was just 20 years younger than me. That one didn't last long, but we still exchange affectionate embraces whenever we meet.
My very first girlfriend was a couple of years
older than me.
Go for it. The age difference
will show up, especially when it comes to your respective circles of friends. You will also find that getting a
younger person to share or even sympathize with a mature point of view is at times almost impossible. Those are the moments when you have to bite your
tongue and say to yourself, 'well, she'll live and learn'.
Some young women are meant to be with older men. They can't stand men their own age, and they gravitate towards us naturally. You can give it all
kinds of Freudian names but that doesn't erase the fact that such relationships are often just right for both parties concerned.
I don't find women my own age attractive or sympathetic as a rule. This irks some of the women I grew up with, since they believe I could do better
for myself with a 'real woman'. Then again, quite a few of them like toying with younger boyfriends.
It's a jungle out there.
