Unfortunately I'm seeing that there were children from other social media sources really hoping that is not so. Racial motivation blames are already coming out as well. Not seeing a political motivation blame as of yet. Too soon, of course, for any of that. The deceased state Senator Clementa Pinckney, as shared, was at a Hillary Clinton rally earlier in the day.

Pastor leading vigil is saying we are nonviolent, and asking for people to be patient and wait for answers, and preaching non violence.

Meh i am white and i must agree. Why must the police execute young people in the streets for 'resisting' ALMOST DAILY and yet they softly arrest a mass nurderer; why?

Hope all you like, but it's exactly the way the media will play it. They will splash this all over the news and continuously pound on the racial element. Look for Sharpton to be on the scene very soon, stirring up hate as usual.

Could be, right now I only know of 8 dead and one in surgery. But I can't get any information about her, it's possible she passed.

UPDATE: Helicopter is gone from Marion Square. Police seem to be moving off.

I take it I am not the only one who has noticed this is the third time in a week when a young white guy opened fire on some random target. Still think this isn't a homegrown terrorist group?

Very heartbreaking. My thoughts go out to everyone involved in this mess. Does anyone know the professions of the other 7 that were tragically murdered?

The people of Charleston are pretty upset that Jeb Bush canceled his campaign event tomorrow, he had a real opportunity to stand and morn with the people here.
