Hello fellow RPG gamers, those that remember FF7 from 20 yrs ago, one of the best RPG, ever made... the much awaited Remake is finally here!

Finally! Ac for the news. Do you know if it'll be an exact copy or will some extra Easter eggs or just new content will be thrown in?

Glad they cracked. Square was claiming not to remaster until they made a FT that outdid 7. Which none did by a long shot.

Im not sure if it will be 100% exact copy, i mean they have so much work to do, compared to stand still screens 20 yrs ago.. they need to build this game to this era's standard.. piece by piece....

Oh man, I loved that game as a kid!

omg omg omg omg! OMG! i cznt wait, the only thing that would ruin this is if they didnt keep the original turn based battle setup. i havent played any final fantasy games since they changed the battling. i hate it, i tried it, i really did....and i cant stand it....

Def going to be PS exclusive and doubt they will cross platform it to the PS 3

Multi platform but PS4 gets it first.

Its been 20 yrs, people that had PS1 might have migrated to various platform, and as a PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4 owner, i will not discriminate other Final Fantasy Fans, whatever platform they my play now.

Also, it would not be a good business move for Square, considering this game is going to make them tonne of money.

Its PS4 but potentially on XB1 and PC.

Good stuff. I'll buy a PS if I have to, but I'd rather take it on X1 to avoid shelling out. With backwards compatibility on the horizon, hopefully the X1 will start to shine. FF7 and 360 support would make me a really happy bunny.

They'll have it on PS4 for about 6 months exclusively, then port to the Xbox 1.

Most of all their next generation titles are cross platform, it's the only thing that makes sense in today's world, considering how wide the FF brand reaches.

According to what I've read, it's to be a full re-make, keeping most if not all of the original game in tact. They may remove some of the more caddy stuff like Cloud dressing up as a girl and some of the more JRPG classic stuff, but otherwise I imagine it will be pretty dead on to the original.

I for one, am incredibly excited.

I expect the game to launch in 2017 for the 20th anniversary.

I hope you're right on both counts. FF has been a rollercoaster for me with the more recent titles. The last few have seen me overjoyed that they were multi platform, then disgusted at what's been done to my series. I'm still healing from the self-mutilation that followed my purchase of Class Zero. The thought of finally getting some real FF in, gets the juices flowing. I miss my turn based games.

Amazon placeholder(not always 100% true but most of them hit close to the target date) has the date at December 2016.

They may remove some of the more caddy stuff like Cloud dressing up as a girl..

I assume such things are expected now a days, maybe they should leave it on for the cross dressing people out there.
