Just shows what a real musician can do.

So many times I have seen beginners spend a K or more on a new git and put it down after a few weeks never to play again.

Start with a mid range instrument and go from there. I don't mean mickey mouse on the side for a 3 year old but a few hundred is enough to get a taste to see if you can be a budding star or just have stars in your eyes.

I still look at second hand gits for my likes and I've been playing for a few decades.

Ahhhh..yes experienced this with my youngest boy...

He REALLY REALLY wanted to play guitar....
for about two months! Now, it's football but, at least he stuck with it!

I had classical piano for many many years...I think music is either in your heart or it isn't. It can't be forced!
