There actually is a lot of new material. Because Tom grant recorded every conversation he had with Courtney over the phone. Additionally there is some very condemning material/audio from Courtney's attorney which I think if she actually came forward with could be a game changer for the case even today.
The documentary also addressed a lot of false facts released previously in an older bbc documentary "Kurt & Courtney". Not to mention false facts that were reported by main stream news media that helped solidify public open in thinking that it was a suicide. She also gets caught in quite a few lies and admits to leaking information that turned out to be false because she knew if she could convince people he was suicidal before he died people wouldn't think twice about the cause of death.
Killing a junkie is the perfect crime, as said in the film. Because no one will think twice about it perhaps being a wrongful death. No one cares about one less addict.
