Another story of playing with ouija boards that ends in disaster.

Mother who practises black magic is cleared of helping her husband drown their dog in the bath because he thought it was possessed by evil spirits after ouija board session. Margaret Carroll, 60, has been cleared of helping husband to kill their pet. Paul Carroll, 51, drowned Molly the dog following a Ouija board session He claims he killed the dog because it was 'possessed by evil spirits'. His wife is currently serving four-year prison sentence for setting fire to the family home in a failed suicide bid following another Ouija board session.

A court heard Caroll was charged with failing to carry out a duty of care to an animal after her husband Paul Carroll drowned Molly, the couple's Bedlington terrier, in the bath on Christmas Eve - following a Ouija board session where he claims he was told the terrier was possessed by evil spirits.

Paul Carroll told a court he had put Molly's dismembered remains down the drain at the back of his home after fearing the remains would be spotted.

Playing in the occult has its consequences.

Anyone have a good ouija board story they would like to share?

There ARE plenty of great, interesting, scary Ouija board stories out there. This one is just some crazy people being crazy.

The stupid is causing me physical pain.

Ouiji boards are toys. That's all they are. I used to have one when I was a kid.

It's just plastic and cardboard.

I know there's more than a few here that put stock in this type of stuff, and if it works for you fine. But it seems pretty ridiculous to me.

In my opinion lucky rabbits feet are more legit than Ouiji boards.

Yes, and guns are just bits of metal, screws, springs and 'stuff'.
Excellent thesis.

Being stupid obviously has bigger consequences.

Poor dog.

Being a superstitious idiot causes more trouble than than delving into the spirit world.
I've played with a ouija board when I was a kid. It didn't do anything.

I would take a guess that the Carrolls were probably a little off their rockers before the ouija board to begin with.

Dunno about ouija, but ive had a couple games of Monopoly nearly end in murder-suicides. This case looks a lot more like insanity than possesion.

Just my own thoughts about the story..
Meth and Ouija don't mix.

(And where is the link to the story? O.o )

What kind of irresponsible bastard would do a thing like that? Who ever does will be laid some dark and ignorant counsel, and suffer badly because of it.

For my view, I tend to connect Ouija board dabbling with a concern that some authorities have about not taking certain types of South American drugs if the user is not of the "right" mind to engage in the activity. Utilizing a Ouija board by youngsters and those ill prepared is asking for trouble.

Mostly the board just got tossed into the air. Perhaps by magic!

So true. Terriers are always getting possessed by demons, with or without the help of a Ouija board.

Here is my story of using a Ouija board.

So when I lived in Montana, me and my old roommate decided to buy one and go and use it at a place called Garnet ghost town. We drove up a six mile dirt road and came to a locked gate. We were both let down because we were going to go up there and party a little and bust out the Ouija board. So I started playing with the lock putting in common 4 digit codes like 1234,1776 and a bunch of significant years and 4 digit numbers. Never got it to open. So I suggest we pull out the Ouija right there and ask it if any spirits know the combo. We both thought it was a toy, then it started moving. The planchet(not sure I spelled that right) went to 4 different numbers and I was thinking my roommate was moving it. I put the combo in and the lock opened. We both got freaked out a decided to go home. To this day I have no idea what happened, I knew my roommate for a long time and knew he did not know the code, also the whole thing was my idea, he would have had no way to plan a hoax, after that I stopped messing with Ouija boards.

You know it is easy to discount the Ouija board stories until you have had your own experience with them. I would never mess with that stuff after some of the things I have seen. I would ask you to think hard before getting involved with them.

Now, does that mean that these folks in the OP weren't insane to begin with? Of course not, but insane people shouldn't be messing with the occult.

Well for the folks who are able to quickly toss this aside and say, whatever.... Just remember, we are alive, then we die, our bodies are lifeless, so very possible that we do have something more inside us than just the chemical and electrical reactions. With that said, the soul has to go somewhere, why is it so hard to believe that sometimes, that soul doesn't make it to where it's supposed too?

Maybe that explains why my Jack Russell was such a chick magnet. He use to ride in a basket on the back of my bicycle and those rides resulted in some very close friendships. I miss that little rascal...died at 14 a couple of years ago.

That's not him in my avy...that's a bearded collie...so far no demons.
