Breaking: White House on Lockdown, Briefing Room Evacuated for Security

Not much news in yet...but a suspicious package is said to be the cause.

Secret Service officials interrupted the daily White House briefing Tuesday and evacuated administration staff and reporters because of an unspecified security issue.
Secret Service personnel gave no reason for the evacuation.

News says ENTIRE West Wing evacuated. The evac means the S. Service takes the threat seriously.
Apparently, the same person who made a threat and shut down congress made this one, as well.

Probably had to be reminded that he couldn't use a drone strike to get rid of it.

Probably the FIRST 100% transparent and factual story to come out of the White House briefing room in years.

Amazing that one anonymous person was able to shut down the Senate AND the White House in the same day...with two phone calls.

It looks even more suspicious since the cameras were all pointed down, and it would also seem that only the press areas were effected.

This looks a lot different then the Capital Hill scare today.

Listen to the lady in the press room named April. She is questioning why everyone was in the press room was moved out but no one else, including the president! They kept moving the press further and further outside and she wanted to know why that was happening if no one else in the surrounding areas were being evacuated. Josh's explanations were not satisfactory to her.

I am laughing hard. You go, April!!

Someone stole the gender neutral bathroom signs from the West Wing.

Obama didn't want to offend his political base by not being PC about his bathroom habits.

You know, I think they did it to produce fear in the press. No one else was evacuated. If it was a bomb, it's not going to affect only the press briefing room, but surrounding areas, too.

Why was it only the press that was moved?

The Fox article I linked stated it was a "suspicious package" across the street from the white house, but I have even less proof for that than I do for the War on Terrr…ifying packages.

Maybe someone sent in one of their school lunches.
It coulda been so bad that they had to evacuate the surrounding area.
