Honestly so many Antichrist threads

But here is the thing I had a wild dream couple days ago and I saw the mark that marks the one we'll know as the Antichrist other cultures through history call it Cambion, it's some sort of mark which looks like a mix between Saturn and Mars Alchemical Symbols located on his right hand wrist. Also something odd I remember from the dream something to do with Russia, not sure as to why. Maybe he's Russian?

Either way, I do have to say this if I was the Antichrist in his place I would not do anything at all... Why? Because look at us now and the state of the world, all it takes is a little push and we start throwing nuclear darts at one another....

So do we even need the Antichrist?

Nope...not really. We don't need one. We're already doomed pretty much...except the assumption that good triumphs over evil. But we know that isn't always true.

The "anti-Christ" can just stay on vacation...we're doing a pretty good job of soul-destroying without him/her/she/ it.

I always got the impression that the forces of satan quite like the physical world..why would they want to turn it into a nuclear hellhole. Do that and the biggest success story becomes irrelevant..no more major states and nations of fabulous wealth and cultures completely dominated by hedonism.

the anti-christ then would be more inclined to tone down talks of war, be pushing to disarm nukes, and fuel space exploration/colonization to expand the powerbase

Now God on the other hand...thats the one to watch for ELE situations...he does have a repeated history of just that

Exactly! Funny thing is Hitler and Napoleon had it tough, this Antichrist has it easy all it takes for him is to just sit back and watch us do all the work.

The only people who need the anti Christ are religious people.

They need to believe that something bad might counter the good they find in Jesus and God.

A truly omnipotent God could wipe out the Devil and the anti-Christ with a simple "make it so" thought of His own. But doesn't.

Why not ? Because to paraphrase Bill Maher - in every comic book you have the good guy and the bad guy. When the bad guy dies, the narrative ends, and the story dies. In religion, if you get rid of the bad guy, the story ends. There is nothing to blame the bad on other than God, and no reason to fear that you might not get into Heaven. Get rid of the bad guy, and tithes stop rolling in.

Win - Win for the church then. Jesus is dead and the Anti-Christ dies too. Church gets its biblical catastrophe and survives the aftermath. God and Satan remain as opposite moral poles.

You know honestly if I believed in all that hocus pocus I would welcome the AC considering their reign is supposed to last a 1000 years before JC shows back up and the first part is going to be all warm and fuzzy making the world over fall in love. To my point I'm pretty sure the world would only get better at least in my lifespan if I believed in that sort of thing that is.

The Antichrist is a purely fictional character and is the great bogeyman in the earths closet created in the Christian religious carnal mind.

There is not one thing said of an Antichrist in the book of Revelation. The disciple John was the only one to use the word 5 times in his letters. In Greek the word antichristos means in place of(anti) the anointing(christ).

Yahoshua also spoke of antichrist and warned the disciple about them:

“Do not be deceived for many will come in my name and say they are christ and deceive many”.

That is what John experienced. They were people that twisted what the disciples were proclaiming (good news)and made it into a religion which is now called Christianity. That is “antichrist”..in place of the anointing”.

Do we need antichrist?.....billions of people believe they do because they ARE antichrist.

Well said. The teachings of Jesus and the modern religion of Christianity have little in common. I never looked at the situation from your point of view but I have to say I like your conclusion. The very people that have fear of an antichrist are essentially in fear of themselves.

It is sad how twisted and manipulated Christianity has become. That religion had great potential for spiritual education but like other movements, before and after, its teachings were perverted to maintain spiritual ignorance. Sad.

If I were the antichrist, I wouldn't show up at all. What better way to win than to throw God's plan for a loop and not let his prophecy be fulfilled and never let Jesus return? I'm sure the antichrist knows he'll end up losing if he comes out, if the stories can be believed that is.
