roger the kangaroo

what what what; hard to believe; is this for real; omg look at this; is this really a kangoroo or a trick, were thoughts hitting me all at once when i first saw roger in the news where they claimed that roger makes body builders crinch with envy.

roger weighs 89 kilos and is nearly 2 meters tall and still growing. Roger is 9 years old.



apparently roger trains his muscles by squashing metal buckets which must cost a fortune and gets in the ring with other male rivals at the Kangaroo Sanctuary Alice Springs. he also loves to chase his surrogate mother, his male carer.



roger arrived 2006 at the sanctuary. workers at the animal home had found him on the side of the road next to his dead mother.

Wowsers! I had to laugh at the thought of the poor caretaker! I bet he never thought this little guy would grow so big and chase him down when he misses his "Mum".

I would go the other direction if I crossed paths with that one.

roger seems to have also manners, at times, and can be gentle. he probably wants to hug and pet his carer in his own way when chasing him.
