You don't need AJ or a tweet from him to tell you that things are so messed up that a global conflict looks more real than ever. Wherever you look, 360° turn there are conflicts, wars in the makings, old territorial disputes and claims, aggressiveness, countries arming themselves, build up military and most of all and the cherry at the WW is the global financial situation. We all know wars generate money, drive the economy very fast and there is always some lucky one to make a killing in the process. And unfortunately for us, the lucky ones are the ones who pull the strings and play with our lives and fates as they wish. So do I need AJ to tell me that possibly this summer we'll see a new WW? No. I don't.

When it comes to making money out of the war and see the scenario of WWII repeat, a scenario from which USA came out richer and no more in depression, there are different opinions. According to some analysts the global economy is not what it was leading up to WWII. In fact, it is nearly the opposite. The US and Europe had very little debt going into that war. They emerged with huge levels of it when it was over.If a global war breaks out it will quickly bankrupt the world and send the global economy into a depression. People seem to think that America can wage another war right on top of two wars with impunity. But those two wars already had a large hand in ratcheting up the national debt to $18.1 trillion and counting.

The third World War started just after the second, or was a continuation of the second. It's all about resolving your differences on someone else,s soil..

Vietnam for instance was all about the USA V's China with Russia quite happy to sit back and supply arms until it's coffers were full and watch the US economy and political map and the will of it's people make the US weaker bit by bit... it was always a Communism over capitalism affair...

Afghanistan in the early eighties for instance was all about USA V's Russia, aka Oil pipe lines and resources with America repaying the favour for Vietnam by attempting to weaken the existing leadership/communism over capitalism ...

The US did break their collective bollocks though and sacrificed tens of thousands trying to supplying us with food and munitions in both wars. Both on the ocean and in the air...so credit where credit is due.

Europe has seen an unprecedented era of peace and prosperity carried on the backs of the American taxpayer. If we didn't go nuts building a military threat, you bastards would have already ginned up another excuse to kill each other en masse. If we turtle up and bring all our toys home I have no doubt you will all start shooting each other again.

Unfortunately for the US, when you spend all this money and effort on the gears of War, you inevitably tend to want to bring out the machine and drive it around a bit. There are downsides to having the biggest and best war machine. I think certain European countries are quite familiar with this problem. Having conquered most of the planet when they held power.

Instead of sniping the country that pulled your ass out of the fire on more than one occasion, a simple "Thank you " will suffice. Why is there not a "Thank the USA Tax Payer" day in Europe. It should be mandatory IMHO.

Well it wasn't just directed at you (sorry bout that), but the other fellas comments. There seems to be a lot of vitriol for US of A's war machine when it has done so much good for many other countries. There is all this talk about the US warmongers and we tend to forget how Europe was before we got on the scene.

Not talking about war loans anyway. I'm talking about the enormous investment in men and material throughout Europe to keep the Red Menace and the Teutonic propensity for carnage at bay long enough for Europe to reap the rewards of peace. It isn't just Britain, what about everyone on the mainland. Look at Germany, they are doing quite well now. Why would any of these countries want to get back to something along the lines of 1943?

Bollocks. The whole point of Germany's final spring offensive was they knew they were literally going to run out of food and metal due to the big honking blockade the Royal Navy had on them so it was do or die.

Germany was NEVER going to break that blockade and as long as that blockade held they were pretty much done for..
