Yeah! Why not join the IAEA (or whatever it is - the Atomic Energy oversight people) as well?

HOW MUCH SPECIAL TREATMENT from a FOREIGN COUNTRY does he think they deserve?!!!
They are not a "colony" of the USA. They should not be a "dependent" of the USA, either. OUR citizens come first.
In my worthless opinion.

I would have thought that money would have been better spent rebuilding Gaza and improving internal relationships before worrying about fighting abroad.

Citizens of the USA hardly care if you spend billions of dollars to kill people. Only when you spend that kind of money on social issues do you really get people up in row.

Awww ... c'mon Tenth. What's $45B compared to the amount of debt we've racked up over the past 6 years? Each one of those Trillions is a Thousand Billions.

What is needed is a Sunshine Requirement Amendment. I'd also like to see a refusal to pay for any debt applied to the electorate who made the commitment. Tie stuff to people's personal purse strings ... They'll be a lot less likely to commit the stoopid.

As American homes and retirement savings were and are lost to the banks, this continues. Not just Israel, but elsewhere as well.

Some "aid" money is wise investment. What do we get/expect in return from Israel?

That's $45 Billion of US taxpayers money paying for this killing equipment so maybe the US taxpayers should directly decide what to give Israel - the elected representatives of the American people have a shocking track record when it comes to decisions related to all things war/death/kill.

Also, if the US government yields to this demand it will clearly show who really runs the US government and dictates it's foreign policy.

Also, Bibi keeps shifting the goal-posts to the right, maybe just deliver the Knesset a series of AGM-130's and see if that works.

On a macro level it's pretty much free money to the government. We give it to Israel, we get favor with Israel and they shut up about Iran, they spend the money in our defense companies, those defense companies spend that money developing new equipment for us, and by doing so the money they get is paid back to the American people in the form of wages and then as those wages are respent in the economy it all goes back to the government coffers through taxes after a certain number of times that it changes hands.

Almost all foreign aid goes back to our corporations, and then back to the American people while at the same time that aid buys us concessions such as fly over rights, military bases, and more favorable resource contracts. Foreign aid is an extremely good deal from the governments perspective.

Israel is like a whacked out drug addict who we are afraid of.

That is how I see Israel.

Funny, on one hand we have politicos screaming fiscal responsibility and an end to entitlement spending, yet here we have a foreign nation who feels entitled to our tax dollars and both dems and repubs will trip over themselves to give it to them.

And I suppose that since the hand being held out doesnt belong to an illegal immigrant, an inner city black mother with 3 kids from four different men, an elderly person who paid into SS, or poor southern white trash sitting in a sweltering trailer smoking meth til their teeth turns into tar we're alright with this?

Netenyahoo, why don't you start worrying about feeding your people?? I think you are as bad as Obama when it comes to priorities. I'm tired of seeing commercials asking the U.S to donate money to help feed YOUR DAMN PEOPLE!! You dump millions if not billions of your money into military while your people are starving, and then demand more?? What makes you so special?? To me, your about as special as a drying dog turd in the sun.

OK, I read the source. I didn't see the word "demands" in any Israeli's words. The title yes.

Questions I have:
- This "deal" what is it? Why Israel haves the right to "Demand" from the US?

Israel did the 'Wests' dirty work during the cold war by taking on the Arabs (Soviets) so why shouldn't it expect support? If I did a couple of years work for someone I would expect payment for it.

The only time the word "demand" is used is in the title.

“Israel has always fought its own battles and has never asked American troops to fight on its behalf. Instead, it has requested US assistance to supplement the tremendous resources Israel already invests in its defense budget,” Howard Kohr of pro-Israel lobbying group AIPAC told the House Appropriations Committee last month.

Much of the money requested is to be used to build border controls along Syria and Egypt, according to the article linked in the OP.

Not that anybody can see clearly.

I just noticed this thread is six months old. : @@ :
