I can't wait. Grew up collecting all the Conan comics and reading all the books. Just hope it is better than his first 2.

Eek. The original movie is almost perfect in it's own right. I sat down with my lad when he was seven and we watched it together as I warned him about folk getting pretend stabbed and beaucoup ketchup - it was a beautiful couple of hours.

But Arnie has been bad in everything I've seen him in in recent years.

I think that they should just let it lie.

I can´t stand this guy nor understand his need to be a superhero in his golden years. He is not that fit anymore and he should already leave it to the younger actors. His career and fame as an actor has never been due his capabilities as an actor ( he don´t act he just is .. same always ) it has always been due his muscles.
Those old F##RST from 80`s should leave entertainment business, they had their time then and now public is more demanding for actors actually having some skills.

Sweet, Conan the Botox, lol couldn't resist, still I think he should Not remake Conan. The first was good, a remake will be a disaster.

It's not a remake, it's a sequel.

totally agree, Every director, screen writer, seems to be going after remakes from the good ole days. Problem is that its to CGI these days, fake, boring, junk. There are some great movies out there, but its like every movie has to be a success or else. These older actors dont need to be remaking the classics.

Luckily for all of us, it's not a remake, but a sequel that picks up 30 years after the other movie.

But the reality is that it's not like he was really that good of an actor to begin with.

He has never been a good actor and even less character actor. Even if he is going to have a role of the older man ( still couple decades younger what he actually is.. if Conan was somewhere in his twenties ) its gonna be boring.. i wonder he will pull it up to get some character in his role ( somehow it sounds like impossible mission ) well we´ll see. I would like to see him acting as his own age not pretending something else nor pretending a hero. But seeing these old guys coming back to screen with same attitude as in 80´s and macho BS .. not sure should i puke or not lol.

Meh, it has it's genre and fans. I enjoyed the first Expendables movie, but I think that the premise lent itself well to old has-been action heros (not that all of them were that).

There will be a crowd enamored with this movie, I'm sure, but we'll see.

This is one of the few times, I would rather they just started over with someone new, than continue with someone too old.

I wonder why it's going to skip Conan the Destroyer. What do they mean by that, anyway? Are they treating it like it never existed or what? It would be the third in the series, so of course it would come after Conan the Destroyer so how is it skipping it?

because this movie is a sequel to the original.
this movie will be filmed as if conan the destroyer and the conan in 2010 was never filmed.

so there will be tie ins and character mentions from the first but not the others.

this is going to take place 30 years after the original.

there is no plot yet but seeing as arnold is almost 70 im guessing that he of course will be the main character but i would expect to see him as some sort of a mentor to a new bad ass or he is the king of whatever.

I'm a huge Howard fan. These Conan movies were just bad. I couldn't even get through the last one.
