Yessir...the check is in the mail. You know it was Aliens (2) that overshadowed Big trouble in little china at the box office. Still epic classic but it didn't do so well next to the James Cameron classic at the time.

Wow! You know your BTILC trivia!!!! Very impressed.

Yeah its true the reviews from the critics were fantastic and at the time Kurt Russle and John Carpenter where being asked "how does it feel knowing that you are going to have the biggest blockbuster of the summer?" by Hollywood paparazzi and interviewers. Only to have it all taken away a few weeks later when Aliens came out. Both are good movies. But Big Trouble might actually be my all time favorite movie. If you haven't yet watch the directors commentary. It's just John and Kurt making jokes and cracking up the whole time. Awesome.

This has been quoted several times here on ATS. Still one of my favorites.

I have issue #1 of the comic they released a little while back. It picks up right where the movie left off and is pretty funny. The hairy monster thing is actually a demon that is now bound to Jack because he killed the demons master Lo Pan.

Jack named him Pete and gave him a t-shirt that says "I like to party", pete kicks ass, drinks beer and licks Jacks face, pete is awesome. a reply to: BASSPLYR


P.S. life is funny as I think Aliens (I wanted to be a space marine or Ripley lol) is my favorite though BTILC is on the list

AH you see Aliens was my favorite as a kid and later in life I fell back in love with Big Trouble and it became my all time favorite. I always wanted to be Hicks though.

Seriously though where can I get a copy of the comic? Pete sounds rad. I'd love to own a copy. Nd I would have given Pete beer too.
