We are aware it's most likely a parody we are just entertaining the idea is all for humor and conversations sake.

I find it highly questionable that this man is suggested to have been down there for a couple of decades, with nothing but L. S. D. and MRE's, and the first someone heard of it was when they heard banging and shouting from behind a wall, recently.

He MUST have made a fair few, very strange noises over the years down there, some of them while he slept! The chances that this is the first anyone knew of his presence is just unimaginable. Further details are required methinks, because something is fishy about this.

Perhaps the gentleman has been out and about, selling the product. Perhaps persons who have lived in the building after he stopped occupying the rest of the building, came to a mutually beneficial arrangement with the fellow, to allow him free passage in and out, in exchange for either financial or chemical considerations.

I think there is something seriously missing from this equation.

50 years of rations. How big is the room. No one ever checked the door before covering it?

At least NASA now knows how to get someone through decades of space travel.

To be fair once one of the other posters noticed the word chemistry to be misspelled at the top of the article i imagine most of us decided to doubt its credibility.

Doing some further research myself i notice that "Before Its News" is also hosting a link to the article. So that does not exactly bode well regarding credibility nether.

Holy Hermit CRAB, Batman!

And 50 years' worth of K-Rations?!! Maybe he's been living on that stuff for thirty years...That and diethyamides. In which case, no wonder he looks like, er, CRAB.

I say this is a hoax. A very funny one. Wait, is it April 1? Somebody pinch me. I must be dreaming. Or on some kind of strange trip.

But hoax or not, I want the movie rights! Let's option this baby ASAP!!!

If the guy's for real, he should definitely run for The Governor. His locale has exotic taste in state politicians.

ADDENDUM: It's a hoax. Google News search for +"Winston Corrigan" returns No "results found for +"Winston Corrigan"
That wouldn't be so in the case of a missing college professor.

To the tune of fifty gallons we'd all more than stick.

We'd merge, teeming and borg-like, as the inseparable hive-mind of The Dude.

The way I read it in the article, the guy had 12- 55gallon barrels of nearly pure L- S- D in his hideyhole..... of which 3 barrels were nearly empty.
He has to have some presence in another dimension after consuming that much of it.

It takes literally nanograms to have an effect. The pure acid is heavily diluted prior to being pinned to paper. Some say only a few molecules can cause a trip.

So, probably many millions of doses. In fact the margin of error to calculate could be hundreds of thousands if not millions.

That is why I am impressed if he did the contents of the three empty barrels over the course of his self-imposed exile.

Whoa!
Reminds me of Lazlo from the movie 'Real Genius' from the '80's...he was a child genius who wigged out and lived in a secret lair that was accessed from a closet in a dormatory.

That was a good movie. Funny when Val Kilmore goes down into the secret lair in the cart to talk to Lazlo. Pretty sure that was Kilmore's first film.

Yeah but this here is a hoax for sure. Could be a real Lazlo out there somewhere though.
