She acted like a bitch and did not follow order from higher authority. If she didn't want to get tazed she shouldn't have started a fight with them. It is their right to ask her to move, it is their job to control people at the border both for their own safety and others. She was an idiotic drama woman who deserved what she got if you ask me.

Pretty sure she was tased for resisting, not for ignoring a compliment. Why not stick to the actual story, which is bad enough as it is, without "paraphrasing" and "condensing" things with your own spin? I wasn't trying to spin anything. If you read the link, the border patrol said the reason she was pulled over was because she didn't respond to the border patrol's compliment on the dog and she looked nervous. The police even stated that!! So in actuality, her non response to the agent's compliment and her expression made them suspicious.

Read my title, in no way did I say state in the title she was tazed because of her dog. She was stating her rights and she was not resisting arrest. The police wanted her to step back and she refused because she did nothing wrong.

From your tone I am guessing you have been exposed to a few more decades of indoctrination than myself. Maybe that's why you think it's acceptable to be detained for unspecified suspicious behavior, and then treated like a child right up until being treated like a criminal. For no reason other than you asserted your most basic of rights. The officers couldn't even come up with a weak excuse like 'odor coming from the vehicle.'

Meanwhile countless vehicles are waved through without inspection because this woman had the gall to treat Border Patrol as anything but royalty.

You're missing the entire point of this thread. Her car was subject to a search based upon a non-response to a border patrol officer. Was she acting like a bitch, you bet, but I can totally understand her being upset for being pulled over and having her car searched based only on the non-response and the expression on her face! Really, this is the actions you want to defend in our country? If more people start defending this excessive use of force, it's only going to get much worst.

Being tazed for not following an order sounds rather excessive don't you think? How would you feel if your daughter or son was tazered just because they were defending their innocence? Especially when the male supervisor could have easily restrained her and hand cuffed her without the other officer tazing her. This sounds more like a nazi checkpoint rather than in a country where you're innocent until proven guilty.

Holy s&*%! WOW! Unbelievable! Seriously...un-frocking believable! A woman. They did that to a woman! The male officer manhandled her and the woman officer tasered her out of frustration because she exposed their low IQ and inability to think rationally and form concise talking points.

They hurt her on so many levels (beyond physical) just because she didn't move to the place they told her to?

If the cop's only reason to search her vehicle was that she "seemed" nervous, then i don't think they had any reason to detain her. That is a real problem there and def a violation of her rights.

So she asks the officers why she is being detained. (which they need to show that they have enough evidence to support probable cause) and they both hem and haw and point their fingers at eachother hoping one of them can say some magic words. When the lady is not impressed and realizes she is being set up, and demands an explanation, the male cop physically moves into her and pushes her back. She resists this blatant assault and the officers then rev it up and taze her.


The male supervisor initiates the physical contact with her and then the female tazes her for pointing out that he is actually breaking the law.

Then the dog shows up and proves she had nothing on her, therefor proving the first officer had no reasonable suspicion to detain her in the first place.

I hope she sues both of these officers and gets millions.

The little guy never defends his own majority. Heck, we have hard working Americans just trying to make ends meet and than justifying a minimum wage that isn't even close to a livable wage! What other country has people defending health insurance companies and a health care plan that leaves over 50 million people without health care insurance!! We're our own worst enemy. We fight for the rights of the rich, the elite and politicians who cater to them.

I agree that following orders is your best bet, I've always said that in numerous posts. What made me upset when I saw the video, was how they can use any excuse to search your car! That's illegal under our constitution. To be tazed when your trying to proclaim your innocence is also an over use of force. I've been on enough juries to know if this young lady files a law suit, she has a very good chance of winning. Especially when nothing was found in the car and she continued to be detained for 3 to 4 hours.

I agree she was very combative, but I can understand her being upset. How can a border patrol officer choose to search your car based upon such ridiculous and minute reasons?

I can't get the video to load. So, was she tased for ignoring a compliment about her dog or was it for ignoring an order to move? Your title says one thing, video caption says another.

Her car was pulled over at a border crossing and subject to a searched based only on the non reaction to the border patrol's "cute" comment about her dog and her physical expression. The tazing came later after she was trying to defend her rights of being innocent and refusing to have her car searched. Her car was searched and found to be clean yet she was detained for another 3 to 4 hours.
