The Invisible Man

If I were going to pick a cartoon character from comic book lore for me to emulate it would be the Invisible Man.

What a kick it would be to just pop in and out with not being seen...imagine all the things you could do with this ability...to a large degree we get to do this in real life daily on the WWW in all manner of shennanigans.

We get to go to various web sites and pretend to be something we are not...I can claim I am so many different types of people...I can be Black, I can be White...I can be a Doctor or a Lawyer...I can post a picture claiming I am a Teenage Girl or a Grandmother from Topeka.

I can claim to be an Alien or an Indian or a Prophet or a Religious Scholar or an Architect or a Writer or an Angel or a Manic Depressive or that I have Cancer or that I had Near Death experiences.

I can be a Police Officer or a Criminal or a Musician or a Judge or a Politician and not one person can refute my claims. You can try, but you will not succeed because you really have absolutely no way to know for sure that I am telling the Truth or Lying in any way shape or form.

I can make up Facts and portray them as Truth about any subject...Math, Religion, Science, Astrology, etc. I can give anything a specific name and claim it has a specific function and No Matter What It is there will be someone that says something else completely opposite and they will give their Facts and portray them as the Truth and so it goes daily on the anonymous Internet, The Invisible Man lives on!

any power and/or technology is invariably used for less than academic purposes. The internet....riddled with porn. The camera was invented...so they filmed porn.

Humans are a boiling cauldron of sexuality that is stifled behind a thin veneer of being civilized. The constant battle between the human consciousness, and the human animal.

Although it would be nice to imagine such powers used for altruistic purposes, it would be inevitable that it would only result in a new rash of celebrity photos splashed online.

In a nutshell, would you use it to sneak into people's bedrooms?

On topic, I would love to fly, so any superhero who can fly, I would be them.

Maybe not someone's bedroom (the guilt would kill me), but I would definitely wander into some top secret areas. Imagine being able to walk right into Area 51, The Pentagon, or The White House. It would definitely be cool to just hang out during some closed door meetings and just listen.
