The USA should be careful... Very careful. The widespread usage of modern 5th generation nuclear warheads in the middle east and Afghanistan led to the spreading of technologies and to barely controllable proliferation, of both warheads and modern delivery systems.

Right. An anti-positron is an electron. You've got one too many negations in the original post.

Positron weapon is likely what you meant.

Anti-matter is not producible in sufficient quantities to make a bomb, but enough to make a fusion bomb initiator.
Anyway, the west is now on the verge of committing its last mistake. A nuclear first strike on the Eurasian Union. The retaliation will immediately annihilate military personnel and materials in middle eastern bases, and possibly also far eastern ones.

If a species uses the most devastating weapons possible in a warfare against itself or others it would potentially be overtaken by a higher intelligence that was merely waiting for that eventuality. Just a guess but reality will prove to be stranger.

Why?
WE DON'T WANT Europe or their hassles.
Nor do we WANT to destroy what we normally would use.
WHAT is the end game in your mind here?

Mysterious Earthquake Swarms in Alabama

Wonder what small scale secret Antimatter test might look like.

a) it would not make a sound or earthquakes.
b) it would fog your old-school photographic film
c) if it's small, nothing you could see. But you might get a burn, or funny looking kids, or cancer.
d) if it's really big, like a cross between an aurora and lightning bolt. If it's accelerated, completely straight. Then you get a nasty burn, especially on the inside.

Kind of rampant speculation so far right?

We dont really know much about this stuff at all in practice, it could turn out that its not even that dangerous and just makes matter neutral on contact and disappear.

This might as well be "future weapons more powerful than nukes" thread, and how and if they could or should be used/controlled.

We dont need more weapons, if we had something with the power of a nuke but zero radiation, that would be a very big problem for the world in general. A country could now erase another AND move in the next day and claim it all.

Umm MEtallic hydrogen can eliminate the need for a detonator that produces the radioactive fallout.

Saw this and thought it was interesting dealing with an actual anti matter bomb.
I imagine it would need to be shot with a kind of tractor beam to reach its target.
