This reminds me of a story Christiane Amanpour did over there....If anyone is unaware she is a journalist that did a great piece on Palestine/Israel. ....however during the piece in the middle of the night their camera man approached a group of soldiers and was shot in the head...the piece kind of a took a turn showing how aggressive Israel was but think about the situation from a soldiers eyes.

It is dark, you have night vision and someone with a large object on their shoulder is walking towards you...is it possible its a shoulder fire weapon? Absolutely. Those guys are jumpy because they have been at war forever. I once read an article that said the average grunt over there will see combat within 6 months of getting out their basic training. Id imagine after years of that and the stories that trickle down from other soldiers create a lot of shot nerves and jumpy soldiers. Even if one in every 100 soldiers is a jumpy paranoid shoot em all up type of soldier that would create lots of "incidents".

those soldiers have no right to be there in the first place . don't you get it my friend ?

its called an occupation .

Perhaps it is an occupation...is that the soldier's fault necessarily? Or the politicians?

Let me ask you...which country do you represent and ill find plenty of things your "soldiers" did that were bad. We go to war because diplomats and leaders fail. I personally believe anyone who supports war should immediately be put on the front lines. ....bet we'd have world peace real fast. And just for the record...ive been...and it isn't nice at all for anyone or either side.

Or the politicians?

Yes. This is on the Knesset's plate.

I just represent my own views . i am not the representative of Palestinian nor Iranian governments .

i am just a civilian pointing out to my personal views . and don't get me wrong here . Hamas is no saint . right now some of them (a few) are fighting along ISIS in syria . but regarding the palestine's issue , i think they're being killed and their people are massacred as if they are sheeps not humans .

Attacking "Soldiers" who occupy your country is more than fair game . attacking civilians is not .

anyway , i am being given warnings left and right by moderation team , i think i better shut up now

This is a cool thread. What about the Iraq war when this happened.

All soldiers are murderers, I don't care what country you are from.

Just don't lob rockets at a nation that will send psychopaths to deal with you and you won't have bombs falling on your head.

Iraq tho, There wasn't much to initiate the genocide that occured there. At least the Palastinians had it coming.

Sure there's some innocent people. But thats the whole point to conciquence. Anything you do, can have conciquences on other peoples lives.

And palastine will never ever admit to doing anything wrong. It's always someones elses fault.
Lol.

Iron dome.

Meet Hamas. Totally innocent of all crimes. (Sarcasm)

In my personal view i don't think Israel caused enough damage to the Terrorist living next door. But that's just me and my own personal view. I am neither a Jew nor a muslim.

And i think the whining the palastinians have been doing for a while now is just annoying. But that's my oppinion.

See, there's 2 sides to this argument. Which is why threads like this are so quick to get shutdown.

Here's an official terrorist group called IDF instructed by Israel government and supported by US, UK, France and most of the so called "western powers".

Their testimony's about the last summer Assault on the Gaza strip:

Israel criminal acts must be taken to Justice.
Stop the Occupation! End the Siege! Stop the abuse and killings.
Palestine must be Free and treated with respect.

I have enjoyed your views since ive seen you on the forum haman...certainly no bad feelings from me. I enjoy a good argument either way. Your thoughts are organized and intelligent even if I disagree with them. I bet we agree on quite a few things. I just have sympathy for soldiers. I have mentioned before in my older threads that my door is open for soldiers of all nations. I have a soft spot for the warrior because they are some of the few characters willing to make change...even if its change I agree or disagree with.

Israel and Palestine are very unique...their situation that is.

How Israeli soldiers killed civilians in Gaza: “There were no rules”

Okay I have to ask...

What rules did those who lobbed rocket after rocket over the border follow, and where is the outrage over the innocent civilians that were injured and killed by those rockets?

You see if your going to place blame for people dying both sides should be discussed as both sides are guilty of the same thing.

And what about those who are behind the terrorist attacks that happen against Israel coming from Palestine, should we let those go without justice for their crimes?

You see this isn't just a one sided affair.

OK, let's look at that:

Look I don't condone any of what is happening with Israel and Gaza, but to lay blame on just one side is a bit silly when both sides have helped keep this situation going.

And it doesn't matter how many they used, the fact is they do it and have been doing it since well before 2014.

Also those rocket attacks aren't used against military positions of Israel soldiers, they are usually used against civilian targets.

Again just trying to point out that Israel isn't the only one guilty of doing bad things against civilians.

Civilians? Haven't most adult Israelis served in the military and are reservists?

They're conscripted into an army which is pretty much engaged in a total war, so not all of them could be regarded as guilty... but certainly those who actually wind up killing a child. Running a regular patrol isn't anything compared to dropping a “smart” bomb on a school. I don't like to direct my frustration at the regular grunts, but I do wish that they'd snap out of the illusion they're under. Israel was created illegally, it has operated illegally and will never be legitimate in any way, shape or form until its government's attitude dramatically changes.

My girlfriend and her husband both served in the Israeli army when they turned 18, it's mandatory.

But neither one of them were directly involved in the chaos surrounding Gaza and the West Bank.

However, they were both so disgusted by what they saw during their service that after they fulfilled their 3 year duties, they got married and moved to Canada.

They wanted no part of the atrocities happening over there.

They've been living in Canada for close to 20 years now, but are worried sick for their families still living in Israel because they can see everything is coming to yet another explosive header under Netanyahu's war mongering fantasies.

And what of those who aren't old enough to serve, and those who aren't eligible to be called up as a reservist?

In 2008 the Knesset approved the Reserve Service Law (חוק שירות המילואים, התשס"ח-2008) which came into effect on 1 August 2008. Accordingly, the age of exemption from reserve duty was reduced for all males, and as a result, ever since then it has stood at 40 for all soldiers, 45 for officers, and 49 for reservists who perform certain specific duties defined as such by the Minister of Defense and approved by the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee (this mostly includes officials in the medical branch, drivers of heavy equipment, mechanics and technicians[4]).

en.wikipedia.org...

And there are those who aren't Isreali that get caught in the middle of this conflict...what about them?

The point I am trying to make is that Israel does bad things, but they also have bad things done to them from those who reside in Gaza. Just trying to show it isn't a one way street here.

I guess you missed the number of Israelis killed in 2014..... 8. I'm guessing that the over 1600 Palestinians killed in the same year are more apt to be civilians.

And how many before that...Again the point of my posts is not to condone what Israel has done, but to show that it is a two way street and innocent civilians are killed and harmed on both sides.

According to statistics published by the Israel Security Agency at the end of 2013, since the start of the second Intifada, 1,227 people have been killed by Palestinian terrorism and 8,549 were wounded.

NOPE>

That's like saying that because there were protesters in Baltimore throwing rocks and bottles at police that we should send drone strikes and fire missles into downtown Baltimore. That's the comparison.

You don't kill children because there is a terrorist, you kill the terrorist.

Furthermore, a mature, rational person with intelligence would ask the question, why are there terrorists. Why do they recruit and what can we do to stop them? The intelligent well thought out answer is treat people like people, like humans.

Instead Israel treats the Palestinians like subhumans and kills children and then wonders why there is perpetual violence. Then when some palestinian leaders want to create a real country, join the UN, the Hague and have international dialogue...you know act reasonable and grown up, Israel and US deny all avenues and try to stop this. why would you stop that?

Probably because it's easier to kill the children. Pathetic.
