This new nemertean has also a proboscis which is retractile within a proboscis sheath, but the proboscis is branched. The branching is of the dichotomous type. During eversion, which takes place almost explosively, the short main trunk. first appears, then this dividess and the finer and filter branches appear, but since each one of these is the result of an evagination the effect is almost indescribable. It is as if a large number of lively, wriggling, minunte worms had been shot out.

I hope that thing isn't a bloodsucker (because it looks like one).

That would be bad to have that shoot in under the skin.

If any critter goes evaginificating on me it better be purtier than that thing.
I keep a shell loaded with rock salt for them types.

it's a sea worm that feeds trough a proboscis (the white part) that can retract into his own body (the red part), the proboscis is branched, which is weird/unusual. basically the worm is checking if he can eat the hand (he can't) edit- clarification: the proboscid brings food to the mouth much like a hand, it doesn't absorb food itself

After seeing a better quality video where it does not look like it has gone under the skin there remains one question . What does it taste like and how would you cook it or would you go the oyster rout .
