Even when it was a very disorganized and pathetic attempt to terrorism, we should be concern, no worry but concern.

It would be more about acting as if they have a presence here Imo.

Honestly, outside this recent act...and the fact that ISIS claims it was them, I can't say for certain that ISIS DOES have a presence here in the U.S....How an you honestly say for certain that it DOESN'T?
Quantitatively, there now appears to be more (at least circumstantial) evidence to support my side of the argument.

Anything is possible, we should be keeping and eye and ear to any leaked information on ISIS in the US.

Because last month it was an article that later became a thread here on how the CIA has information on ISIS trying to do something in California, then look what happen.

I am not saying it doesn't for sure.

Just that this event and them claiming it after the fact proves it does.

Pretty sure ISIS will have some of them in the US.
UK certainly has and France as we know did so the USA is bound too.

Thing with ISIS they are like annoymous any hacker with a computer can join and any fruit loop with a copy of the koran can claim membership to ISIS.

Id be less worried about them wandering through mexico however and more concerned with US citizens turning.

A third possibility is that there was a lack of coordination here between this homespun ISIS group and ISIS HQ and they jumped the gun before U.S. embedded ISIS fighters were prepared to make a planned larger strike.

I highly suspect this is the case.

There is likely little to no communication between cells and there ME counter parts.

Freedom of speech is freedom of speech.

If Muslim people aren't aware of this constitutional right, I'd be happy to give them a map to ponder of other suitable places to live.

I've been reluctant to state my suspicions until now. The total failure and abysmal results joined by the humiliation Isis received from this attack. Makes me think that if there are sleeper cells of actual trained terrorist they will feel the need to piggyback this with a (hopefully another unsuccessful) attack.

MRuss Amen to that, just like the rights to arms political morons has tried to get around of it, we still have it, so the same way goes for our freedom of speech, no foreign or domestic constitutional freedoms and rights haters will ever get around to take that away either, they don't get it, the more they tried the more the real Americans will fight back.

Greathouse, I agree, it was a fiasco, but while many people think that our national security is a joke, we should be grateful we got some, because believe or not Intel does works.

It will be very difficult for ISIS to get away with the crap they do in the middle east here in the US, they would be hunted down and exterminated like the vermin they are.

II love my freedom of speech

This so funny some people believe that Texas was staged to take over the state of Texas by the military that is going to be in that states for exercises

This soo funny, but hey you never know.

Isis learned a valuable lesson about soft targets. It's not like Paris, as shown in Texas and the rest of the United States . We shoot back

Yes we do, we are one of the most armed nation in the world, still it seems that more information is coming out on how ISIS had involvement in this pitiful terrorist attempt, obviously they use the social media to call brothers in the US to act.

US does have a growing population of Islamic foreigners and they are from different groups and nations, is not only the wannabe American born and converted.

So I wonder how the government keeps track of the middle eastern men to see who could have links to ISIS.

Then like somebody mention earlier we got the open border, that means if somebody wants to come incognito they could.

There are incoming immigrants with extremist ties. But there are also idealistic radicalized Americans. I've heard the FBI has Investigations on going in all 50 states.

Sometimes it amazes me to read post here. The whole Internet and all social media is being sourced but for some reason people think they have anonymity ? All it would take is certain words or certain phrases and anyone can be monitored.

If I was the DHS i would let a few extremists in, especialy the hate preachers that are more bluff and no action then bug them, wire tap them and put a survalliance team on them 24/7, get a long list of everyone they meet and then investigate them and if any flag up as dodgy do the same to them. For any inocents you can try and recruit as CI's .

Once they out live there intel use, get too dangrous or get near to a attack round em up.

Thats what I would do to flush them out.

I'm fairly certain the French will do something besides parking a car on the corner to engage them again. As for the police being at the event, I looked up the contract for rental of that venue. It's stated implicitly that for any event. Five security officers were to be provided at least one with supervisory experience. It was also left up to the venue to determine whether more security was needed.

When I linked it I also pointed out that ironically it was a gun free zone.

I imagine they are just taking credit but had no planning in the matter. The two supported ISIS so ISIS sees them as part of their group.

Sound policy then.

London been similiar since the 7/7 bombings though its abit more discreet.
Most large gathering points we have a couple of oinks with G36's or MP5'S nearby to pop out at a moments notice.
Same in glasgow too last time I was up there. They are sneaky buggers though as they are quite discreet when they want to be.
