Bravo, I like the way you think! Every society that has ever existed was comprised of an awful lot of "stupid" people and when these that rule start thinking of how stupid those people really are it all falls apart. I don't wish to derail this thread, but your argument needs to be challenged. Your argument is the same one that comes up whenever there is a "if there were no God or no spiritual consequences for any of your actions, would you..." type thread made.

Basically you assert that only psychopaths, sociopaths or deranged people need a God to believe in to stop them from badly mistreating others. Or to put it another way: you seem to place a lot of trust in the goodness of the average person, going as far (I believe) to suggest that most people are born inherently good.

One consideration you overlook is the lack of inherent "goodness" in young children. Young children are a prime example of persons not (yet) largely programmed or moulded by the environment around them.

Many people overlook the fact that kindness and consideration for others are learned behaviours, except in extraordinary cases. The same cannot be said for selfishness and lack of consideration for others, which are survival mechanisms.

The point I am trying to make is that the vast majority of people are not born inherently good (or bad/evil for that matter) but are influenced largely by what authoritative figures (such as parents, the society in which they live etc.) tell them is right/acceptable.

Therefore, if there is no basis for their moral compass, they would naturally resort to behaviour that results in their survival, or experiencing pleasure for themselves - whether that is good or bad would not factor into the situation.

I have to agree with you.
Children are driven to get results now, and learn manipulation to get this very quickly.

Some dismiss Freud but I think in a child's case the Id- satisfaction and pleasure is over riding at early ages. It is the influencers in the child's life which mitigate the child from satisfying this or delaying it.

My general stance on children is work from 'You are trying to manipulate me, what do you want?' and work backwards. Children learn to be very good at manipulating adults. Its the adults job to recognise this manipulation, and counter it.

You don't always get what you want no matter how you try. No means no. Learn it. Learn to deal with it and that's what an adult needs to teach a child to cope with disappointment and not always getting what they want.

I have seen it countless times with my friends children and my own step child. And the parents wonder why there children can be mean to them, when the child doesn't get what they want.

'Tabla Rasa' as Skinner said. No child is born evil or bad. They may become in order to survive. Also adults can be mean to children which means they learn the wrong coping mechanisms for dealing with situations, as they have only had a mean adult to learn from, who themselves have not be shown the 'right' way to be with others.

It all started with one person doing the wrong thing and it ripples into everyone's lives that person comes into contact with.

That's a very slippery slope for any group to undertake, you do remember WW2 "First they came for......., then they came for me."

There are groups I am not thrilled with, but it's not any humans right to judge them and get rid of them.
That is somebody else's job, and he owns this planet.

So... Hypothetically, i think my choice to get rid of the religious nuts is actually quite good. Less wars, less BS, less persecution and judgement. I feel that life would be a lot better. Considering Islam and right wing Christianity have been culled.

So, this is just a stupid conversation i wanted to share.

I'd also like to get rid of chavs (scum of society) peed'os rapists, serial killers, and people who harm animals.

I think it's only fair that the people to go be self-selected.
I suppose my method would be to buy a munitions factory and make every other round to explode catastrophically, then make a point to distribute them generously to people who will attempt to kill others, guaranteeing a 1:1 kill ratio and therefore the victory of the group that had enough people to win at the ballot box

I don't really care who we get rid of. There are simply too many people in the world raping mother natures resources and destroying the environment. Maybe it would be best if got rid of all the people dependent on technology and just leave the cultures that live in harmony with nature... Yeah that might work...

Oh boy, the Tecnno-Tards are going to come after you for that one. The Dependents will not have to be gotten rid of for when technology fails, and it will, they will do themselves in because Landru will no longer be there to guide them. A couple of years ago we had two, one week power outages due to intense weather and it was very enjoyable to get back to basics for a change. I realize that when the lights go out and stay out it will be a lot different, but the cave man me is strong and I am one of the strange ones that can easily revert and get back the value of what is important in life like, air, water, food, family and Faith. Everything else is just window dressing.

I would start with politicians and government. Then anyone who commits a violent crime. Then anyone who commits a crime that permanently damages another person physically or mentally. Then people who are a drain on our system by their own choosing. Anyone who by their own choice bring society down instead of contributing.

I could go on but I'd end up in a Twilight Zone episode...all alone.
