How really sad that your disdain for America is so visible.
We, the people, can't be blamed for the policies of our nefarious leaders, although Americans sure have gotten lazy about protesting.
Still and all, hating America's people doesn't make much sense.
The computer you're typing on was invented in America. So was your cell phone. And your car. And your television set. And probably you're listening to American music.
Listen, friend. The guiding spiritual principle in the universe is that we are all one. We're your brothers and sisters. Until you realize that, and most people realize that, the world will continue on its horrible little way.

It's this kind of ignorance that gives American's a bad name...
Nearly all of those things were not invented by Americans. Only one that was the mobile phone. Car is French, then German (for combustion). Computer was British (Enigma), then French (first Personal Computer). TV was German.
And, I'm not sure if you're trying to say that American's invented music?? Did Bob Dole do that whilst taking a break from inventing the internet?

Learn your American history! That was Al Gore
The world would be boring as hell with out the U.S., Someone else would take our role as the world police or the world would just be in a constant state or world war.
I love how this thread comes from a Brit who lives it up in the USA lol. Lets not forget who had an empire larger than any other in world history!!! One that created most of the problems today.

But for a defense contractor with ties to the federal government, Hunton & Williams, DOD, NSA, and the CIA - whose enemies are labor unions, progressive organizations, journalists, and progressive bloggers, a persona apparently goes far beyond creating a mere sockpuppet.
According to an embedded MS Word document found in one of the HBGary emails, it involves creating an army of sockpuppets, with sophisticated "persona management" software that allows a small team of only a few people to appear to be many, while keeping the personas from accidentally cross-contaminating each other. Then, to top it off, the team can actually automate some functions so one persona can appear to be an entire Brooks Brothers riot online.

"free pass" is probably not so much correct imho.
"respect" would be better.
We're all here wondering whos really pulling the strings "in the west", while it seems that guy has the force of 143 million people plus standing behind him and mostly respecting his choices and direction, with the effort put into "herding" his people in the direction he thinks they should go (which seems to be good for them) resulting in general support for him.
While the truth behind many of the conversations here and elsewhere seems to be

But a "persona" is only as good as the people who wield it, and this poll seems to be suggesting they are having exactly the opposite effect intended.
