Yeah but not being a scientist, I have to go on what actual scientists and scientific organizations tell me. Sure, I have a brain and do extra research and look at contrary arguments and such but I then have to ask the question. Is NASA lying to me and why? Is Bill Nye Lying to me? Why? Is Neil Degrass Tyson lying to me? Why? Is American Association for the Advancement of Science lying to me? Is the American Chemical Society lying to me? Is the American Geophysical Union lying to me? Is the American Medical Association lying to me? Is the American Meteorological Society lying to me? Is the American Physical Society lying to me? Is the The Geological Society of America lying to me? Is the U.S. National Academy of Sciences lying to me? Is the U.S. Global Change Research Program lying to me? Is the Academia Chilena de Ciencias, Chile lying to me? Is the Academy of Athens lying to me? Is the African Academy of Sciences lying to me? Is the American Society of Plant Biologists lying to me? Is the Canadian Geophysical Union lying to me? Is the Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand lying to me? Is the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution lying to me? Is the Zimbabwe Academy of Sciences lying to me?

That's a lot of people that would have to be lying to me and there are hundreds upon hundreds of other scientific organizations that I didn't list and hundreds University and college science departments, heads and students and their hundreds of thousands of support staff and researchers and data collectors and science teachers and...man that's so many people that are lying to me right now if you are right.

It wouldn't seem plausable that all those people would be lying to me. And why? For a tax?

And it's a tax scientists would have to pay, just like everybody else.

And why would they ALL lie about something which would cause the emnity of some extremely wealthy and powerful institutions and nations?

Except that it's wrong. Scientists are pretty skeptical all around and demand long chains of consistent experimental evidence, and coherent theory before they collectively agree.

That is demonstrated all the time in other areas.

If you trust scientists then you are gullible. Scientists can only study what can be studied in the x number of years they have been studying. The part a made bold is where you built a strawman. That in no way represents the vast majority of the scientists out there.

And the truth is that scientists who study something for a living for decades actually DO know more about the subject than everybody else on the planet.

History has shown that the opinions of professionals in physical science and mathematics are enormously more valuable---and the opinions of laymen enormously useless in judging and predicting truth of scientific phenomena.

And yes, that means all of the rest of you should sit down and shut up. Check your ignorance and ego.
