Weird, Weird News Stories...

I don't create threads very often. I'm content to read and respond to other people's threads. When I run out of those, I sometimes turn to another news source. Today, Yahoo News had a handful of strrrrange news stories. Here are a couple:

Strippers at Funerals a Grave Offence, Chinese Authorities Say

Chinese authorities on Thursday bared the details of their latest anti-vice sweep: a campaign to halt the hiring of strippers at funerals.

Whaaa...? In some cases, they have strippers on a stage with a large picture of the deceased behind them. I can find no answer to how or why this custom began, and I cannot for the life of me connect the dots of stripping and grieving. Weird. Just weird!

Woma n's Brain Tumor Turns Out To Be "Evil Twin" Complete With Bones, Hair and Teeth

The PhD student had moved from Hyderabad, India, to Indianapolis to study computer science. But her new life in America was amiss. Once a brilliant student, she now had trouble understanding simple articles. Friends and colleagues would say things to her, only for the sentences to get mixed up in her mind.

First diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, when a capable surgeon finally operated, what he found was remnants of the woman's twin which she had absorbed en utero. Apparently the twin began to 'grow' because it wasn't until she was in grad school that the symptoms developed. Those symptoms got worse and worse until she could barely eat, walk, understand people, etc. Another reason I think it's clear that the 'twin' began 'growing' is the fact that teeth were part of the clump of tissue. Infants en utero do no have teeth. Tooth buds maybe, but not actual teeth... they grow and 'sprout' months after birth.

Weird, weird news I tell ya...

Yeah...as a soldier in the Army for 10 years, I'm still reeling about the Army making male soldiers wear red high heels in uniform. Everything after that is pretty much mundane.

Can you imagine driving by a graveyard and seeing a bunch of strippers? Oh just the picture cracks me up!!


The next woman is so lucky that she was finally able to find a proper doctor. How scary that must have been!!

I must say, I would much rather read these type of stories than all the political mess going on.

I do wish the girl the best. She is expected to make a full recovery. What a bizarre experience for her, nonetheless!

My favorite weird story. Some childhood Ukrainian "friend" of Mila Kunis is in LA now and looking to make a quick buck, so they're suing Mila for her supposedly stealing the friend's chicken when they were kids. The friend was one month old, allegedly when this occurred and is suing for $5000.

Mila, I love her, is countersuing the old friend for $5000 for "injuries sustained while viewing the old friend's music video". "It burned her eyes" LOL I LOVE IT!

I give Mila a LOT of credit for the way she's going about this. She's not suing for more, or for less. Just enough to shut the woman up and make her go away.

Hmm, that's unfortunate because I was actually thinking about joining the navy or something. I stopped thinking about that now. Specially since they marched in my state in those heels.

To the OP, If I die rich and alone, Ill have myself a few strippers grieving but if I have loved ones who deeply care, no.

And i think they should have gave that twin a chance.. Lol

Well yeah I know, lol, but maybe if it had chosen to grow on her pinky finger instead of crowding out the girl's brain... eek!

And I just can't imagine finding out your brain tumor was really your twin. The stuff of nightmares, I tell ya!

(Still trying to wrap my head around what the heck stripping has to do with bereavement. Unless the strippers are really homely and I guess that would tie into the whole sadness of the event, lol.)

That was what I thought too. And better was this girl was calling herself a "childhood friend" when in reality she was a month old. Kunis was 7 at the time. Oh yeah, they were close alright! Idiot! LOL And if Kunis was 7, and the other girl was a month old, how in the dickens were they in the same class??? One thing is for sure, I think the other girl is lying about her age, she looks near 45 to 50 years old with all that crud on her face!

Oh lordy, some days I LOVE TMZ! LOL

Kristina now needs shrink money, and a little extra for all the emotional distress ... in all, $5k.

And Kristina says Mila's conduct has prevented her from pursuing the American dream.
