If/when the aliens make contact, which movie/tv show will it resemble?

Mars Attacks: They are so *alien* we cannot comprehend or work with each other.

Day Earth Stood Still; they will try to help us but we will be too primitive and violent.

It Came From Outer Space: they just want to fix their ship and leave.

2001: they are so beyond us we don't realize we are being manipulated

Close Encounters; they make contact, land, identify themselves. everybody's happy.

I think more like Close Encounters, but we the sheeple will never know,

i would want something like War of the worlds or Independence day so the governments could have a chance to say... "Ahem.... we kinda knew this would happen"

but, Disclosure has already happened, problem is no one was watching, and unless they turn up everywhere and attack, people will not believe it

Probably none of these movies.

They are aliens. They are beyond imagination of humankind, they probably follow some logics we never even thought of.

What if patterns in random events are actually extraterrestrial messages? What if they speak phrases in a fraction of a second? Or maybe their skin is radioactive? What if they are on another dimension? What if they have perfected hiding (thus, are invisible) just like some have perfected predation?

What if they already are everywhere on Earth? What if we are actually part of them and they a whole of us?

Hm... Potential to have a brain short-circuit right there.

Maybe like Mars Attacks?

"Roman Holiday". One of them will leave the ship to explore a city, wander about, charm one of the locals, fall in love, and sadly go back to the ship to again take up its duties.

It could be similar to any of the choices given. I tend to lean towards the assertions of Stephen Hawking that it would probably resemble the caucasian decimation of native north/south americans.

Like "Prote" from K-Pax in the Kevin Spacey mavis of the same name "K-Pax".. He tells the Professionals that He is indeed an alien and the only folks that believe Him are those who are also patients at a mental hospital..

He left after getting what He wanted/needed and left, taking a fellow patient with Him, back to K-Pax..

With the upcoming Summit and a visible Price Charles for 7,000 mi., "they" can make anyOne appear...
