BlackGuardXIII is right. Its about the hunters' dollar. They claim the wolves will kill game animals and that will cut down on the game hunters coming to the state to hunt, spending money in the process.
In the case of ranchers and herdsmen, they would rather sell sick and unhealthy animals to be slaughtered for food than allow the wolves to keep the herds healthy.
Anyone ever wonder why there is so much more sickness in people these days? We are forced to eat sick animals.
Its about money.

Yes, Alikospah, it is all about the dollar. And politics- for the record over a thousand moose are killed each year here by automobiles and the Alaska Railroad. The state is saying moose populations are depleted because of wolves, yeah right.
