Can I change my name; add some clarification and retain my past identity?

Can I take "Vet" and change it to 'Veteran' and retain my identity (tired of explaining "VET"). Vethumanbeing changes to VeteranHumanBeing.

Unfortunately our software can't do that, your only option other no change at all is to register a new account (using a different email address) and start over.

Why don't you just find a way to put VETERANhumanbeing in your avatar somewhere? Go to the avatar thread and get a make over! A new look can do one wonders!

Or: If you maybe change your profile picture? that could also solve your problem. I seriously thought veterinarian mostly because of the Collie.
And then your custom title veteran and maybe it would be enough?

Thank you Peeple; I painted that monstrosity joke (eventually to be found in a thrift store for 50 cents) collie dog when I was 9. I could sign it at the bottom with large letters saying "VETERAN" humanbeing. Its a thought (not a veterinarian, just a Vetter of Human Behavior).

Some want me to put a selfie up (what do I really look like). There is an avatar thread? My new good looks, hum; an idea but I do not want to trickster anyone (have the problem of is it a she or a he I am responding to and why the relevance of having to KNOW). Thank you windword.

I do. I am a conceptual visionary painter (I made this up as not yet a category known to art history); but it needs be right up there with "Neo-Expressionism meets surrealism meets conceptual thinking). I won two first places as a 12 year old in the adult divisions of "Landscape" and "Animal" categories at the Kansas State Fair: way too much fun. My Masters degree was obtained at "The School of the Art Institute of Chicago". I have a painting there somewhere; hung in the Morton Wing. Thank you for asking Peeple.

Just a simple 1s and 0s slippage of information (accurate I ask is all) "Vet" turns into "Veteran". You say no; but I think you are smarter than the average bear and can do this. Think of the plaintiff here as the poster child "ONE TIME ONLY" offer, no one gets this privilege other than Vethumanbeing. You can say "see"? (DO NOT DO WHAT VETHUMANBEING DID and chose your moniker wisely). IF you save one ONLY from this debacle (Plaintiff) you will inform others to NOT make the same mistake; in doing this; (the 250,000 other members) that may regret their "namesake moniker/made" when under some sort of intoxicant or in perfect clarity will think carefully as to what forever they will be known as on ATS.

I am a creator being asking another creator to out think or best my own thinking as to who I am. Interesting; (not sure they would bother; a waste of their time and energy?). Good thoughts though Grimpachi and considering that option.

I did just that; instead of "God incarnated just like you" I went to a more convincing/ 'loftier sounding' "A Veteran of the Human Specie".
Thanks windword! (now just have to work on my personality; or false perception of). Thanks also goes to "Joecroft" for letting me know this: Do not under any circumstances LET THEM know you are actually THE INSECT in CHARGE HERE, patiently waiting for the human to capture, PIN to a board and catalog the other 1 and 1/2 million specie as yet undiscovered.
