Why? Cause you agree with them?

Both sides are innocent until proven guilty if you want to take that stance.

I am pretty sure this is all getting twisted cause of the abandoned mines in the area that are polluting the water.

Holy #! I live in Southern Oregon...I'll have to look into this. Maybe pay some miners a visit. Clarification to OP, Jackson and Josephine county are in Southern Oregon, Jefferson is north and in the central part of the state. Significant distances apart. It will be interesting to see if Josephine and Jackson county side with the miners as well. We're all about what's ours down here, so could get interesting.

Could explain the increase in military air traffic over the last couple weeks. Of course the F-15's do a lot of practicing in the spring...sooo, I won't look to much into that.

At any rate, seems I'm getting my news last...off to investigate.

And what evidence do you have that BLM is denying the FOIA's illeaglly?
Word of mouth does not constitute evidence.

Fine to support them, but don't take their side as a fact when you know nothing but that one side.

Would you not say they will have a bias view when explaining how they see it?

maybe they will start bringing out a great amount of gold soon?
If there is Too much Gold on the market.
the price of gold will drop.

so they keep the suply of gold low.
False economy, False Money.

...as far as Oregon is concerned they take their rivers & creeks seriously.

Confirmed!

Trees too. Everywhere you look there are trees! Even in the cities!

As for this situation, I don't have any comments. I will be curious to see what information comes out over time before passing any judgement. My natural instincts are to side with my fellow Oregonians though.

I believe the Mining Group statement is more fact than fiction given BLM new fascination with using guns on Bambi and Americans...including Cliven Bundy.

Don't you love Bambi?

They've been transferring the land...slowly. I guess it's not good enough though and they want the land transferred faster. That bill doesn't surprise me in the least.

You have to realize that the BLM people in charge of doing all the paperwork for the land transfer also live in Alaska themselves. They have a big old BLM office smack in the middle of Anchorage, Alaska's biggest city.

So the answer was none just predetermined bias.

Bundy was no American hero, he free loaded off the backs of tax payers and didn't pay his fair share and then raised hell when the gov came collecting And telling him he can't graze there anymore.

And they only pointed guns when people came to defend that leach bundy.

Talk about thuggish tactics…they sound more like a mafia than a government department. Wait maybe the problem is our government is all basically run like the mafia…they do go around extorting and racketeering.

The only difference between the maphia and government is the concept of law.

So are they free loading at the tax payer dime and not paying taxes?

Tax evasion is patriotic and works well as a form of protest.

I would gladly support them if I found out they were evading taxes.

Government has no rights. Government only works on the basis of privilege.

Some of his qualities were quite nice.

Others (behaving like government) not so much.

I am going to teach my children how to evade taxes, and I encourage tax evasion as a form of protest all the time.

Eventually, the tax burden will be square on the shoulders of people like you, and you will crumble, and there will be no financing for your government. It will fall.

See, if people like you get to shove your political edicts down the throats of people like me--then it is only fair for my kind and I to return the favor.

That is why, regardless as to the details, I refuse to support the BLM.

No greater leach than an organization that produces nothing and extorts money at the point of a gun,i.e. Government.

You got your "knowledge" of the Bundy raid from "Dirty Harry" Reid's Senate website with the hit-piece talking points to use...right?

Yes, I knew it.
We all see where karma came fast on old Harry

So teach them not to pay taxes all while reaping the benefits from what taxes provide...

Seems to be the trend here.

Gov is bad so not matter what you do as long as you do it against them it is good.

This is a damn tragedy if accurate. If so I hope the miners are able to hold out and protect and keep their property. Short term I bet some bureaucrats and politicians have some sweet private deals in the works to sell the mine and make stacks of cash for the handful of people that they are. Can't the government and the BLM understand the written word? In perpetuity means just that. It is appalling that an alphabet agency has the potential power to rip away the lively hood of honest workers. If this goes down I would bet that the BLM doesn't provide any kind of restitution or relief to the people it displaces.

To throw a more underhanded conspiracy out there consider this. What if the actions of the BLM arbitrarily absconding land from private citizens is a long term plan to attack the 2nd amendment? You know, after like 10 or 20 attempted land grabs where the public comes out in armed force to defend the landowners is the impetus to disarm the public. It is unlikely sure but is within the realm of possibility.

Still disregarding way out the conspiracy theories I must say that I am siding with the Miners on this. It's their lively hood, their homes, their communities, their lives. To the government this land and mine is just another statistic and location on a map. If that were the only reason I would support the Miners. Yet its not and I support them in every way and hope for their success in retaining what is theirs.
