8.6 EQ in LA today Friday April 10th, 4:17 p.m. PST

Likely won't happen, but just in case, wanted to get it on record here. No scientific source, just a premonition. Luckily, I'm usually wrong, but sometime right on a much smaller, personal scale e.g. have predicted deaths with dates in family.

But it isn't the fifteenth yet. That's the dreaded day for many people.

I like that you pick a specific date and time. I also like that you didn't make it too far into the future. In fact, we don't have very long to wait at all. This is very refreshing mini-doom porn.

I'll be watching the clock very closely around 5:15, (hour behind i am) as I am a Doom/EQ enthusiast, also I have family living near LA.

I highly doubt this'll come true because well, they never do. Maybe this time shall be different though.

Funny, because when I saw "LA" I didn't think Los Angeles, I thought Louisiana instead! Guess it's because I live here in the SE part of the US.

An magnitude 8.6 would be very, very big for California. The largest earthquake recorded there was below M8.0, though at least one fault (Cascadia, NOT San Andreas) is thought capable of producing a M9.0 earthquake.

I guess it was a vision/gut impulse. Sitting here at work doing my regular routine when all of a sudden got a gut impulse of an impending eq with the place/time popping into my head. Again, I'm sure it's nothing and I'll be known along with the dozens of others here for making failed predictions. But, for the very few times I've been right regarding close ones (family/friends) I wanted to document this one............... just in case.

Thanks for the prediction. We are expecting the big one so I wouldn't be surprised... The good thing is that I'll be out of work around that time IF it were to happen.

Just a question... have any of your premonitions came true? (on a consistent basis)

And for the last three nights I've dreamt of water. Lots of water.
I'm not sure San Andres is capable of that size eq but in that city a 7.5 would be very very bad.
