Maybe you should read that Reuter link about how almost half the Americans see Obama to be as big a threat as Putin

You should reread the article. This is what it really says.

People in the United States feel under threat, both from beyond our borders and within them. In fact, when asked about both U.S. President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin, it was a pretty darn close call — 20 percent saw Putin as an imminent threat compared to 18 percent who said the same about Obama.

If you think 18% is almost half of the three thousand people in the poll then you need to retake the math course that you failed.

The way I read this is what people have been yelling you for a while. America doesn't care about Russia. They see it as a fallen superpower that doesn't pose a threat to the US. Despite what Putin may tell the Russian people the US poses no threat to Russia because the US sees it for what it is: a regional power.

I agree. Obama is quickly becoming a larger threat to the US than even Putin and Russia. It has nothing to do with how the Russian people view Putin and everything to do with how Americans view each . With all the executive powers he has exercised to deliberately undermine this country by going above the actual process put in place by the Constitution. And during the 6 years it has been accelerating. When he said he wanted to fundamentally change this country and the world , he wasnt kidding. Even the people in other countries need to deeply research the policies he has installed and how it has affected their countries.Thats why we consider our President almost as much of a threat as anything else out there . Not only to us, but to the rest of the world as well . Step back and think....

In US there is democracy.. they don´t kill people or put them in jail for having different views. How truthful are Russian elections and government sponsored polls when Putin receives 107% of votes, their math seems to be quite different and a lot like North Korea.

It's supposed to be a republic...and people keep calling it a democracy. A republic protects the individual from the masses, and the democracy it's the masses against the individual. What we have here is neither - it's an oligarchy. It's important to know and understand the differences.

The U.S. is not innocent - while they may not openly 'remove' people who disagree...look at what is done openly, and thoroughly encourages people to do so. MLK, for example...his family won a lawsuit where the Gov't was found responsible for his death...

The U.S. also had suspicious numbers turn out for GW and Obama...with the same an greater 'voter turnout'.

Americans...

the only people on the planet who don't remember anything from 2000 to 2008..

Americans...

the only people on the planet who have no idea on how bad things will become when Obama leaves and a Republican takes his place.

Left or Right, they are both the same agenda, with different puppets, different names. Both lie, misrepresent.

I'd rather have someone NEW to politics who's inexperienced than the career politicians who keep f***king things up. Maybe someone who'd have to check books and consult with others on decisions would make better...

The mirage is that parties make a difference. They don't, people do. It's a false-image they've given the voters and many/most fall for it every single time.

BTW, many changes take time to implement and fully come to fruition...so some of what will happen during the first couple/few years is also the previous Presidents/Administrations doing...

The abuse of power by the Gov't, and the eager lemming mentality they've successfully foisted and many voter has adopted is nothing short of sickening.

Media lies, politicians lie, corporations lie....follow the money. There is no substitute for reading and distilling information coming from these for oneself.

Parties and politicians have not truly represented the people who voted them in for quite some time. They are voted in to represent, they get into office and they think they are voted to rule us. They always talk of their agenda, but the only agenda should be pushing are those of the voters, the people they are supposed to represent.

As a thinking person I DO care about Russia ,the world is in peril if we keep playing these dumb coldwar games.
Russia,China and the US have been screwing with this insanity and costing millions of lives.
We are just incapable of stopping the leaders who have sheilded themselves with laws and corruption to render their populaces unable to fix the madness.
ALL of that is backed by shaowy finaciers over the passed century who are paying for the structures and institutions to continue unabated.
Many read about how I tell WHAT our capabilities are and believe THAT is me saying it is a good thing ,I am just telling you whast is now being done and why I think they are doing it.
PERSONALLY I hope aliens ,or Jesus, show up REAL SOON ,we can't fix this and it must be done

blogs.reuters.com...

First off. I am sure you realize that Reuters and AP's idea of fact checking statistics means merely reviewing the statistical data they are provided to say 'ayup their claims are asserted'.

So it's become quite common to fudge data.

To what end?

Think about it.

Who stands to benefit and who stands to lose when you're promoting a foreign leader and putting down the local one?

Don't be stupid. Or go back to Russia and Tell Putin to quit annoying us here. We're tired of his drama.
