Theres no doubt of RT's Moscow bias but they are capable of good investigative journalism and often will cover topics the big 6 wont go near I have seen good documentaries on RT about the finance industry,the pharmaceutical industry,the prison system,the gulf oil spill and other topics.

Ok, got it. Apologies for misunderstanding.

Of course it's all controlled and on that note we can be sure that many other Nations are in the same boat.

This is merely an example that hits closer to home as many believe only "those other Nations" are controlled and brainwashed by their media but the West is still about freedom of speech, opinion, expression etc. Not to mention that many still believe there are 2 sides to the story in the West. There may be 2 sides but due to controlled media (MSM) we don't see it unless we look beneath the surface.

Thanks for explaining your position more clearly. Now we see both sides as it's meant to be.

Absolutely.

I still watch RT and although there is of course a slant, the reporting is much more informative and less sugar coated than what we have on our boob-tubes.

Watch RT and confirm with your own efforts. 9 times out of 10 RT is closer to the truth than what we have.

Still can't be right. If you say that the left brainwashed as much as the right and the left as 70-90% control in all media, then we would be a very left/democrat leaning country. We aren't. We have Republican control of congress and the Supreme court. My facebook feed (of hundreds of people) is primarily anti Obama/right wing/country/republican outrage and propaganda. My peeps on the left side of things don't have that brainwashed outrage mentality. You can see it.

What you are really saying is that the left is terrible at brainwashing the right are geniuses at it.

It's a big circle jerk and that's how it works. What are the chances your kid goes to Harvard? It can happen right? Because they made a movie about it, in fact it was on NBC.

This problem was vividly talked about in a Hollywood movie is 1976. You can tell people the facts and tomorrow they will forget about it because the media feeds them any # they want to hear, and that's the bottom line.

Wow. This was really enlightening! I knew that a few companies owned most everything else, and I've known for a long while now that the media is mostly a joke, but to see the video clips of the news anchors all saying the same lines verbatim really helps the point hit home. Thank you for sharing this.

The photo of the companies that own the networks makes me think of another similarly styled chart that shows a HUGE amount of companies that are all owned by a select few. I've seen it posted here on ATS, but I can't even remember what it was called or how it was described to be able to search for it. Do you know the image I'm referring to?

I ask because I'd like to look at it and see if the companies you posted about here are also on the other chart. I wish I could remember more details about it, I just know it had a LOT of companies all under the same umbrella of just a few.
