So I assume that everyone here would boycott Parana's since they discriminate against those with a concealed carry permit?

Yes and hypocrisy is really not the issue here. Cant blame hypocrites.

Even Jesus said of the hypocrites "Do as they say but not as they do" paraphrased. The meaning is clear. Hypocrites are not to be judged for speaking truth but for not living it any better than the other guy. Even a gay person that points at a hypocrite has three pointing back at himself/herself.

Oh shut up!

I'm already on record (here on ATS) by stating that the law was stupid and wouldn't go anywhere and was wrong because you CANNOT legislate morality.

Go peddle you divisiveness somewhere else!

But this hatred is acceptable by the new rules of the Church Of Social Media.

Have a ####ing blast!

Okay, in attempting to try to get you to actually think, please explain to us the difference. You can think, can you not?

They are going to get a ton more than that before this is all over I'm guessing and we will get to see how capitalism/free enterprise works.

They will either make enough to float over this rough patch, or they will fail because the people choose not to support them because of what they support.

Sink or swim time.

The problem is website hacking.

Is that not illegal in the USA?

Free speech does not cover illegal hacking.
They can flood the telephone lines and organize sits in and sink the business that way.

But the line is drawn at hacking websites.

You seem to be rather gleeful at the thought that they be run out of town on a rail. What I asked was, what did they do, exactly, that merits that?

Oh I'd be over the ****ing moon man!!
Same with the cake store and same with the couple who refused to let a gay couple stay at their B&B.

But that's my personal opinion.

The law in this state let's people discriminate now... so the law is the law.
Hopefully people either get the law changed or boycott the bigots.

Pretty simple really.

Getting taste of their own medicine .. they should suck it up and eat the losses their intolerance caused them rather than panhandling online from the public ... public shouldnt have to pay for the shop owners stupidity...

The problem is the protesters crossed the line with web hacking which is illegal.

Aside from hate calls (which they can deal with if this is the case) how do you know their website was really hacked? Again I'm feeling this is an attention ploy.

Records from the ISP likely.

You guys afraid to let the market decide? Afraid to let the issue stand on its own with out making the "whites only" comparison?

I agree, let the market decide. If a business establishment doesn't want to serve a particular class of people, so be it. As long as they just decide to don't accept their patronage, and not badmouth and disparage the particular people they decide not to serve. If the majority of people don't accept their policy they'll take their business elsewhere and that particular business will suffer. I always thought a business owner has the right to serve who they choose. If you don't like it, take your business elsewhere.

Well they were serving them in the shop. They serve everybody in the shop. Just didn't want to serve outside the shop under the said conditions.

This was bound to happen soon enough.

All the press and emotional outrage surrounding the new Indiana "Religious Freedom" law has taken prisoners.

A pizza place has apparently said they wouldn't cater to a gay wedding if asked.

Apparently they were not really "asked", but asked "if".

An onslaught of hate calls and website hack attacks has forced the pizza place to close temporarily.

And it looks like somebody is raising money in the wake.

Wild Thing Freedom of Speech is.

Indiana Pizza Shop Gets Set Up By Local Reporter – Instantaneous National Moonbattery Ensues – *Update* Pizza Joint Forced To Close, GoFundMe In Action…..

The moonbattery has metastasized into a supernova of hatred. The intolerant leftists have shut down the mom and pop pizzeria with phone attacks and an on-line onslaught similar to Chick-Fil-A in 2012. Only this time the business is not a corporation it’s a family restaurant without the corporate resources.

You might have noticed an absolute apoplectic reaction to an article about an Indiana Pizza Shop, Memories Pizza, which is being sold as the “First business (restaurant) to publically deny service to same sex marriage”.

The RIGHT STRIKES BACK!! Christian Pizzeria ATTACKED by gay lobby raises over $18k in 2 HOURS!

Crystal O’Connor co-owns a pizzeria in Indiana but they may close their doors permanently after being attacked for putting forth their Christian faith. When she said she would not cater a gay wedding, the shop’s website was hacked, their Yelp profile was plastered with insults and obscene pictures, and they even received death threats.

A supporter has begun a “GoFundMe” profile for the Pizzeria owners to help them weather the gay mafia storm, and they have so many people angry that they’ve received over $18,000 in donations in just two hours!

Isn't this bullying by the LGBTQ crowd as well as destruction of property (hacks and web attacks)? I thought there were laws or at least some kind of societal outrage against bullying. Oh wait, I guess those laws don't apply to politically correct nutbars and they can bully anyone they want, because their rules don't apply themselves. It's Bizzaro World!

ETA: I forgot to add, the assclowns in government that babble about bullying being bad, they get to bully as well. Do as I say, not as I do huh... WTF is up with that? Time to start removing the trash maybe? Have we had enough of this horses**t yet?

Cheers - Dave

I wasn't aware that they hacked their website. It was my understanding that they did not have a website at all. The website that someone bought to tell them how silly it was not to purchase the domain name, is not their website.

There is a little motel down the road here that, believe it or not, that still will not allow unmarried couples to rent a room.

If you ever get poor service (or no service at all for that matter) due to discrimination, then just complain and mention how easy it would be to give them a bad review over the internet, lose them hundreds of customers in the long run. Guarantee 9 time out of 10 your getting an apology and they'll step up there game.

Yeah like that will work in small towns especially those bigoted towns and the Bible belts.

Excuse me you did not just say all southern towns and people are bigoted racist. My how Progressive and fair of you to say such a shining example of morality. How high is that saddle on that horse?

They were not denying anyone from service EXCEPT catering a WEDDING. The new law is for ONLY SOMETHING THAT GOES AGAINST THEIR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS,and not NORMAL SERVICE. See the difference? If they refused service of a wedding between a man and a horse these people even the gay ones would support it. Hypocritical right?

So let's say the pizza shop changes its tune on catering to gay weddings how many people are willing to eat their food?

The gay mafia is becoming more intolerable than the kkk.

No they hadn't actually got round to having a website so some 'helpful' person set up a very LGBT friendly one for them.

Not looked at it but apparently they have now pulled some of the content.

and from above

Someone noticed that Memories didn’t have its own website. So this anonymous user swung into action and registered the domain “memoriespizza.com” The website then posted satirical content, including phallic-shaped pizzas, the tagline "Call us to cater your gay wedding!", and a list of topics: “Cheese, Sausage (the big thick kind), Pepperoni, Discrimination, Repressed homosexual urges.”

They openly discriminated against gay people by saying they would not cater for a gay wedding.
Yet I'm sure they serve Gluttonous sinners all day and unmarried one's, fornicators, anyone who has lied... and thousands of other sinners without batting an eyelid.

Any sports teams who just won a cup?? PRIDE ZOMG!!! Going to hell

This is blatant homophobia and discrimination dressed up as "religious freedom"

It's not... it's prety ******* simple... if you really are deeply religious and disagree with sin then there is a LONG list of people that you need to STOP serving.

Kids who talk back to their parents.... that one will send you straight to HELL

but no... They ONLY have a problem with gays.

This is the BS and hypocrisy that frankly people are fed up with and pissed off with.

Enough is enough.

Isn't this what republicans ultimately wanted? I keep hearing them say "let the market regulate" but, when it does...
