The vertical stone and the gravel at the base of it seem to be very clean and there is no trace of red liquid. Those facts are the most perplexing to me.

Yeah, the perps cleaned up afterwards.

They were probably the ones who installed the cube as well..

I don't think it would be that hard to get up there with out anyone seeing you. There have been quite a few cases of people going up there and committing acts of vandalism and I'm pretty sure most haven't been caught/arrested. Just a few Examples of vandalism and don't believe it was very Christian of them to do some of this.
NSFW because the graffiti has bad language:

Well...it is about 20 feet high, so it would be hard to get on top unless you had a ladder or 3-4 guys on shoulders.....not sure how else someone could do that without being noticed, especially as recently as 3-4 days ago. Apparently they have surveillance there now....

Since it's that high wouldn't that also mean it's very unlikely the stain came from a sacrifice without even taking in the all the other factors on why it's unlikely?

Looks like a blood-filled water ballon hit it, from the equal circular cast off.
I would think a bird dropping a prey wouldn't splatter like that.

But what do I know, I just watch alot of Dexter

Well I looked up the guy who put the blocks in there's YouTube channel, in case he had anything to say/do with it.
Nada. They did it as a wedding ritual, nothing more, nothing less.

And I also wanted to check their wedding date again, the date on the cube, just in case they did some weird $#!+ for their anniversary. Nope.

So that's a good thing. But I figured I better just post it here, since people still are pretty unaware of the blocks "mystery" being solved back in November.

I suggest folks keep an eye on his channel just in case he posts something about this. He's kinda nuts, but if anyone says anything about it soon, it'd likely be this guy.

It's really creepy that the drain goes into the pillar where the stones were placed...*shivers*

I just looked at it from Google Earth and the top is blocked. You can tell because the top is square from Google but in reality its a rectangle:

Its blocked on the historical images too. So, maybe this is a yearly event.

Well...Google images isn't in "real time". That image even has the time stamp on the bottom of 2012.

My point was that maybe this is a regular event. It just seems weird that the top of the guide stones has been covered up even in the historical images on Google earth. Why would they block the top? Maybe just to make it stand out more? Maybe, just thought I would add to the conversation.

Ah...I see what you're saying....yeah that is odd that they would block off the top. I can't really think of any reason for Maps to do that.

if you mean the story i will link below, it appears that the only thing solved was the origin of the 2014 cube addition. i see no proof of anything else. only claims.

Having a built in "drain hole" makes me wonder if it was built for sacrifices, but adding the fact that its covered up on googles history makes it seem that this isnt the first time blood has been spilled on top of the stones. A lot of blood sacrifices require the blood to be poured on the ground, so at that height and the base being cement, there would need to be a drain hole for it to reach the earth.

look at the spatter pattern...kind of looks like something was dropped there.

My guess would be a raptor or vulture feeding. The top of the stones is the perfect platform for a predatory bird.

tinfoil hat on...

You know...now that I really think about it, this could be the reason for the blood stains. Possible it was build FOR that purpose, to allow birds of prey to feed on top of the stones and the blood from their kills to run to the drain. That stain could be from multiple feedings up there. It would make the perfect spot. I could see the builders of the stones, being that they were obviously odd birds, doing just that so it would be a form of "sacrifice" and allow the blood to enter the stones....

I found this tin foil hat web page, I didnt read the whole thing but:

I found it interesting that they have had "chicken blood" splattered on the stones in the past.

That hole isn't a drain. It's to sight the summer and winter soltices.

In the top of the slab? Aren't those usually somewhere you can see through?

There is a slot to view the soltices but its in the middle of one of the stones.

There's one thing that is preventing me from thinking it could have been a predatory bird as some have mentioned.

The fact that the blood is ONLY on the TOPS of the surfaces. If the blood runoff was caused naturally, like from an animal feeding, then the blood would naturally have run down the sides of the stone surfaces. It would have been seen down the length of the 20ft slab. But, it's not, it's as if someone cleaned the sides of all the supporting and top stones so the blood would only be visible from above.

Add to that the odd coincidence that the top monument is literally blocked from Googles satellite view makes me wonder.

sacrafice could be at play. It's hard to say. But that drain hole at the top of the English language slab is very curious indeed. I don't think this has all of the features of an animal eating up there. There are a few things missing if that were the case.

Even if someone were to have dropped blood balloons or some other such scenario the blood would be present on the sides of the stones as well from the run off. And I don't think someone would vandalize the guidestones with blood only to have to clean off the parts that would be visible. The whole point of defacing something is that it IS visible.

Odd stuff.

Google Earth makes 3D models out of structures like the GGS. What you're seeing is the plain texture they used for the top. Underneath that is the satellite image, which appears to show the stain. So the stain - or perhaps another one just like it - has been there since late 2012, at least.

Would the date have had anything to do with it? Just curious
Honestly if it was a sacrifice you would expect much more blood, and blood is a bitch to get rid of, not that I know that (ok I do, from doing martial arts, and getting bloody noses, and the odd cut)

I have an idea, but it’s not nearly as interesting as blood stains. It’s just purple bird poop. Birds eat purple berries and poop purple. Whoever maintains the stones may wash the standing ones without out always cleaning the top.

Google “purple bird droppings” and you’ll see something that looks a lot like this.
