Hey ATS. I wanted to share this with you guys since why not. It's a video I took of myself doing a backflip off of a big Statue on the shores of Lake Champlain in Vermont.

This was a particularly challenging flip, because I was standing on the statues shoulders, which are angled downward so my feet were in an awkward position. The surface is metal and somewhat slippery.

And the ground/landing is all granite, so as you can imagine a mistake could be pretty ugly (no worries, it was all good
)

This was from last summer but I'm getting excited for the Spring thaw. I'm living in a new area and hope to find some cool new structures to do flips off of. P.S. this is one of my favorite things to do - acrobatics and flips. I was actually published in an international magazine called "JUMP" (which is no longer active unfortunately), in the centerfold of their February 2011 issue!

I have a handful of other flip/acrobat videos on there too - one of them is of me doing a backflip off of my car. Another one shows me backflipping and a school of kids walking by, cheering and totally loving it - what a great day that one was
other fids, including the one with kids cheering

Anyway, hope you enjoy. Thank you ATS - you guys (and gals
) are great

Being a navy guy my self I would agree that this is disrespectful.

Although I admire your physical prowess, there are more appropriate places to praTice you gymnastic abilities.

God, what was I thinking! I am utterly disappointed in myself - I did NOT by any means intend to do this out of disrespect! I am so sorry it was received in that way, and I am completely responsible for that.

That thought hadn't crossed my mind - I am grateful beyond measure to the men and women who serve to protect our country! I mean that from the heart and have close friends and family who are or were in the military. Thank you for your service.

My sincerest apologies that this upset you

You did not mean any disrespect, so it is all good, but thank you for the apology.
