Strange spot on picture.

I was testing out my camera at Rockingham Castle in Leicestershire when I spotted a strange spot on the photograph..

I'm not saying it's a UFO or anything like that, but I think it's interesting - given its size I think I would have noticed it and/or attempted to take a photo of it.

It looks like a bird. It looks like you used a reasonably low ISO (low grain) which would have meant for a longer exposure time. This would have been evident on something fast moving (and flapping) such as a bird, especially as a birds shape changes as it flies, unlike an artificial flying object.

It's a spot alright, but I see nothing that makes it strange, all the while there are plenty of things mundane that it could be.

I'd say a bird, or a moth/insect as it appears closer than the wall.

More probably a blurd.

ETA: Nice ramparts. All that remain are the cannon ball adorned bulwarks.

I can almost hear them booming.

Looks to me at first glance like a bug or grasshopper.

It even seems to have that yellowy green color.

But that is just what I think.

Oval shape brighter on top. Seen these things many times, it's a bird. Now obviously, given anybodys inability to identify the species this leaves open the possibility of a ... u.....f.....o. But given the amount of identified birds that look this .....hmmmmm

Did you notice, if you zoom in fairly close, there is another blip lighter in color to the right of the more obvious one?

Nice picture even without the "ufo".

ETA - and another very light one in the sky above the chair?
