Hello all!

My name is Jonathan Wade and I am a combat veteran of Afghanistan. I served for 14 years in the Canadian Forces with the Royal 22nd Regiment. I was medically discharged last year due to combat-related wounds.

I now own a blog called The Sentinel (thesentinel.ca...) where I write about Canada, Russia and NATO news.

I came across this forum and I have decided to join it.

I am very open-minded and will answer to both dignity and respect to all your questions / comments.... even if they are critics.

I look forward to participate in many discussions and I remain available if you have questions!

Thanks for your service to my country Mr. Wade. It isn't said enough.

Enjoy ATS and make sure you don't run afoul of the rules. Blog owners have some limitations.

Welcome ;-) My cousin was in Bosnia, my cousin-in-law was in Iraq and I was in Africa. Fourteen years is a long time, four was enough for me but the cousin in Bosnia did I think twenty-two altogether. How do feel about harpernista and his "no engagement, no active combat" lies? Or for that matter, how harpernista jumps on the bandwagon every time Obama or Bibi say boo?

BTW, looked at your blog, nice layout, easy to read, good job!
