Unless you are an idiot, you (he generic you) cannot be surprised by her wiping of the server.
There was never any doubt in my mind as to the reason behind the whole private server deal and I knew that she would wipe it clean or just replace the hard drive with a new one.
In order to truly "wipe" the drive all you have to do is delete everything on it, and then fill it up with random data.... lots of virus type programs out there can accomplish that. Delete everything after that and the only thing recoverable would be the random data garbage.
