Why is the western media not reporting this?

rt.com...

An intercontinental ballistic missile was fired early Monday from a facility in California, the US Air Force announced, saying the tests were a message to the world about Washington's nuclear capabilities.

sorry if this has been posted before.

It's a friendly reminder about non-compliance.

True, but what I don't get is the US's MSM don't even mention the tensions between Russia and the US. Is it that serious that they don't want panic?

This is a pretty big deal. No?

When did Obama declare his desire to reiterate the US ICBM capabilities?

WTF has happened in the last few weeks that suddenly the west is strutting it's nuclear capabilities? We don't even talk about nuclear exchange any more.

www.afgsc.af.mil... found this

3/23/2015 - VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- A team of Air Force Global Strike Command Airmen launched an unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile equipped with a test reentry vehicle today at 3:36 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time from Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. Every test launch verifies the accuracy and reliability of the ICBM weapon system, providing valuable data to ensure a safe, secure and effective nuclear deterrent. The launch team, under the direction of the 576th Flight Test Squadron, Vandenberg AFB, included Airmen from the 90th Missile Wing at F. E. Warren AFB, Wyoming.
so id assume that we informed the usual parties before doing this (russia china and perhaps pakistan and india) generally from what ive read these tests are rarely suprises to the world as those things can go quite badly if they are mis understood

www.dw.de... or it was a response to this russian test under almost identicle circumstances (they told us about it in advance too like we mostlikely did in this test

Russia's Defense Ministry has announced a successful test of an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile fitted with a dummy warhead. The relatively routine test was agreed with the US prior to the Russia's Crimean deployment.
none of the major nuclear powers just go lobbing and testing icbms with out calling the neighbors first so to speak

I`m scratching my head about this too ?

Quickly looking over different MSM news sites, no one mentions it...so for who was this meant?

Like Russia, China, North Korea, etc. don`t know this...?

I don't know what happened, but something is going on and they are not telling us.

Humans tend to do some stupid #. That so called saber rattling is going to start something the world hasn't seen before. It'll make WW2 look like a picnic. The technology today and the sheer numbers of people are going to play a major roll in the coming doom. That's probably why they want to cull the herd.

Except that the US ICBM can actually hit the target with pinpoint accuracy. I'd say this was a statement of STFU to anyone talking nukes.

This also tells me that the Saber rattling is a bit more than just that, and there is a potential threat to nukes being launched.

So we are to assume the US launched an ICBM without notice to other countries? As if that wouldn't start MAD? Surely they would have communicated this in advance.

True, and this comes shortly after Capt. Heather E. Cole was relieved of her duties as commander of Strategic Communications Wing 1

www.spacearchive.info... think this covers most of the testing they plan to do ,perhaps the media didnt track it this time or was not informed?

i guess then as just an FYI expect some kind of test on the 6thish of june and a sattlite launch on the 22nd of june ,of note the rest of the schedualed launches are for satellites not additional ICBM tests

www.shreveporttimes.com... they ran with it 9 hours ago so perhaps they have not gotten to the story yet?

why make a big deal out of just some routine test firing? making big news of it would be what raises tension so of course they were quiet about it beyond a small news piece on the air force website.

a reply to: [post=19154125]NotMoose[/post yeah i shared that site to show that that is where they show when they are testing either an icbm or launching a satellite(as they look the same to early warning radar that looks for heat bloom and data from early warning sites to decide if its a strike or not) in the past month russian federation, iran and usa have all tested an ICBM (i THINK nk may have tested an icbm but not sure if it was that or just missiles) so perhaps its icbm testing season or something
