MORRISANIA — A Bronx mom of two who called 911 to ask police to come talk to her young son about why stealing is bad was wrongfully arrested and told by an NYPD officer “you black b----es don’t know how to take care of your kids,” a new lawsuit charges.

Tyeesha Mobley, 29, is suing the city, the NYPD and the Administration for Children’s Services, claiming she was handcuffed, roughed up and had her two children taken away from her for four months — all because of an innocuous request to have officers teach her 9-year-old about right and wrong.
“She was simply trying to make sure her son stayed on the right path,” her lawyer, Philip Sporn, told DNAinfo New York. “This shouldn’t happen to anyone, let alone to a good mom with her kids.”

A not so friendly neighborhood cop.
There are risk involved in calling a cop to your house, in some communities the friendly neighborhood cop would have simply talk to the kid, have him promised to behave show him how kool it is to be a cop than a potential criminal..but that's only in another community the mom should have known better..

More racism on the rise, its really a shame to see people becoming more and more ignorant with racism. Hope he loses everything(job, house, family) because he was too stupid to participate in society in a normal non racist manner.

I'm calling BS on this one. My spidey senses are telling me that there's much more to the story than we're being told.

I'd like to know why she was charged with child endangerment for one, and the fact that her case was thrown out doesn't necessarily mean that she was innocent.

My ex-wife was charged with 3 counts of endangerment and managed to avoid prosecution by taking some BS parenting classes.

Nah I'm not buying this one.

With all the recent heat on NY police, this sounds like she was coached by a shyster lawyer to set up a lawsuit.

Not the first time and not the last time.

She should have called Al Sharpton.

He would have set her son straight with thuganomics 101.

I understand your suspicions given your situation but both your and hers are common. The way I see it, the rule of thumb is that if someone is innocent, they will be charged, if they are guilty, they won't.

Yeah question the woman even though there has been numerous instances of this happening.

So let us get this straight ATS...cops are bad but not when they abuse minorities.

Hey Iam the only spider around here and mine is telling she is legit, so you are telling me that, that one cop saw things that the other three didn't.

Perhaps where you are from that holds true, same rules don't apply evenly across the board.

Something is weird about the woman calling 911 to get cops to talk to her 9 year old kid about stealing.

Like, why would call 911 for that? It's not like it's an emergency or that a 9 year old is going to be completely out of your control. There's just something weird about all of this.

And I say she should have called the NOI, although they are racist ,anti- white, and don't like America too much, the upside is they are respectful, uncompromising in their code of ethics, dressed like your grandfather or great grand depending on your age so none of that pants hanging off your ass stuff that we all agree we hate, self employed and have their own industries , religious, low crime rate in their communities the best at rehabilitating drug users, conservative, paternalistic stoned faced killjoys who are offended by presence of da Gayz.
many of you should like them.
For get to add Gun enthusiast , love who the NRA.

As far as I can tell she talked to the operator to just have some cops come over and talk to her son, about stealing this happens all the time moms or pops wanna set their kids right sometime have a cop an authority figure just chat with kid, only she Black and lives in the Bronx not flippin West Chester , what was she thinking, that the cops would give two s!!!ts.

Ummm....yeah.

I'm jumping on the band wagon of waiting for the other side of the story before believing ANY of this. She can make up whatever she wants.

What is FACT however, is that in 2006, she stabbed her boyfriend in the chest during an argument and nearly killed him. Link to article

It would be nice if a reporter would actually....you know, report on a story. I realize that the police aren't issuing a statement, but it wouldn't take much effort to at least look up this womans past record and see what she was actually charged with at the time of her arrest. Perhaps an outstanding warrant or something?

I get sick of all of this one-sided bait stories.

Probably so we can get a better understanding of this woman. Maybe the cop knew the woman's history and approached the situation accordingly while the b# got mad that they were treating her like a psycho. That's what i think happened.

Um she called 911, and emergency number... I've had cops come over for non emergency situations but I used my local police number and made a request.

You can't just call the EMERGENCY number because you want a cop to have a chat with your kids...

Those "other" neighborhoods you referenced would likely call their local police station and not use the EMERGENCY 911 number.

What double standard? Are you saying we don't believe her because she's black? Don't be projecting your racism on to me, I kind of have a nose for BS.

See for yourself

My spidey senses don't discriminate.

I'm with you on this one. Sure, it's possible the LEO acted unprofessionally and inappropriately--we all know that this happens--but there are just too many things wrong with the stories I've been able to find on this incident for me to (a) think we have the whole story, and (b) to find anything on it from an unbiased source.

Calls to LEOs often start out with good intentions but then go terribly wrong for one reason or another. I can't make an intelligent assessment on this when we only have a one-sided story.
