MOSCOW—Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared in public Monday for the first time since March 5, brushing off speculation about his health a few hours after he ordered nearly 40,000 troops to be put on full alert as part of snap readiness exercises.

Vladimir Putin Appears in Public for First Time After 10-Day Absence

Sooo... I guess he's still alive. I wonder why he disappeared for so long though.

I wonder why he disappeared for so long though.

Because of Kremlin 'drive by' shootings, maybe?

Connect the dots.

Possibly, the article doesn't expand on that though.

Last time a world leader was this evasive for this long, when the press finally caught up with him, he said "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" (Understandable if he was talkin bout Hillary - I mean, have you seen the head on her).

Anyway, back on topic, I reckon Putin has been on a 2-week shag-fest and some bastard is about to make a bucket load from his new book "Vlad the Evader"

Others have also done pretty well this week - internet hits-wise - like Twitter and facebook and ATS.

All is not lost.

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story

Isn't that usually about the time the Kremlin brings out it's look-a-likes to try and bring the enemies out from beneath their rocks? They seem to be losing their edge in the skullduggery stakes.

I was thinking body double. That sounds like what you thought also. Could be it's just part of a plan to stir up speculation and keep people away from his real plans.

You never know what could be going on right now in Russia. I enjoyed all of the crazy speculation and theories on what was going on, then poof, He's Back. Oh well, on to the next conspiracy theory of the day.

I wouldn't put body double past Russia either. So the story may be continuing. I guess we need to wait for more information to come about.

the fact that he only made a brief appearance, to me indicates some underlying factor at play.

Does that has something to do with the Defcon 3 alert?
Just thinking.

Blood moon is a few days from today.

I don't think parading Putin look alikes to 'draw fire' would go over very well with the media . Could backfire.

Doubles are for cowards anyway. Putin can deflect bullets with a glance, like Neo.

How exciting, so many threads about Putin being alive. All we need now is Brian Blessed in his best theatrical voice proclaiming 'PUTIN's ALIVE'

Geeez...can't a dictator take a little 'Me Time' to get a face lift and tummy tuck...without everyone freakin' out?

So you admit Obama is a dictator too? Cool.

Exactly what I was thinking.

To get a good face lift and some work done, for no one to "notice"
takes awhile for bruises to disappear and swelling to go down
and redness around the surgical site to go away.

I was thinking the same thing about Hillary when she "disappeared" a while ago.
