I would also like to add that if you look at a lot of the really churches you will see a green man face, this is because a lot of the original churches were built on pagan places of power such as ley line crossing points and they had to appease the believers. And a little bit of study is all you will need to realise that the Catholic Saints are all actually based on Pagan gods. (i am on a bus going through the Scottish countryside on my way to work with little connection otherwise i might link sources myself.)

Don't get me started on the rituals used in churches...

Very true.

The Catholic Church even thinks it has the right to name who the saints are. Yet God very clearly tells us in scripture that he is the one that chooses them. And it is not based on any merit of their own (aside from faith). Because we are all sinners.

Now a person is not called to be a saint when he is dead. Or chosen by a group of men to be a saint. God chooses them while they are alive, and they have no outstanding feature, aside from their faith in God.

Even Mother Teresa who was later called a saint by the Catholic Church didn't have faith in God. It is highly doubtful she was called to be a saint.

And saint worship is just the same as pagan worship of demon gods.

I am simply asking this question because it has come up a few times in the past couple of days and opinions are divided.

I am not offereing an informative post on what I think it is or is not but asking you what you think it is.

What your opinion is?

Where does it come from/ Does it have a place in modern society.

What have you heard about witches?

I heard they're all tranny feminist witches.

If somebody tells you different, they are speaking with the mouth of Satan himself.

So mote it be.

Have to give a big LOL for that answer.

But, more seriously, you would propably be in the best position to shed some light on the subject. I believe, however that unless you are a fairly devout adherent to the religion it would be very difficult to truely understand it.
We (being non Wiccans/Pagans) already know "everything" about it that can be found online or read in a book ( I found wiki very informative actually lol ), but true understanding can only come from ones own personnal experiences with the religion.

"You mentioned the devil and satan, Do you believe that is what Wiccans involve themselves with?"

NO! Wicca, true Wiccans, do not believe in Satan or devils.

According to E.A. Koetting, an author of many magick books; states any/all magic is black magic. He is on youtube if you would like to know more about the art of magick. He speaks of Wiccans as well.

Wicca is a rapidly growing religious movement, which is a modern day version of ancient religious precepts that far predates both Judaism and Christianity, and whose basic tenets and beliefs go back to the earliest days of humanity.

This is true.

You don't have to believe in the demons in order for them to manipulate you or use you. In fact it is probably easier to do so. But there are many in witchcraft and wicca who know they are dealing with demonic spirits.

There is NO good magic. Jehovah condemns it all.

Wicca is an older "religion" than christianity. Wicca believes in the Goddess. There is a God as well but the goddess is the supreme deity. The worship of the goddess was the main religion for many people before christianity spread. The goddess represented the earth and all its seasons. The magic of wicca encompassed the four elements winter, summer spring and fall. It also has to do with north, south, east and west. Wiccans knew herbal plants and used those to heal and work spells. There are 2 magics, white and black, and it would be up to the person how they wanted to use their knowledge. As christianity was introduced to the masses the pagen religion was outlawed. People would still celebrate the pagen holidays in secret. In order to stop this, christian holidays were scheduled on the days or near the days of the wicca holidays.

There is no such thing as white magic. There are many youtube presentations and books on this subject and you will find that all magic preformed must have an entity or spirit involved to complete the magical invocation. The creator has forbidden man to practice the art of magic and those that do are against the creator and refuse to follow his commands making the ceremony/ritual "dark" - the opposite of light. The same with the spiritual entities that follow suit.

All types of magic are a forbidden art according to mainstream Christian, Jewish and Muslim beliefs.

Here is some enlightenment for you DeathSlayer. I remember you now, from awhile ago, and I saw God speaking through you. And can perceive you have much understanding.

You are correct that all forms of divination and magic are condemned by God. And this is why. They are preformed by fallen angels. Angels who once resided in the light, and were in the very presence of Jehovah God.

To believe in God means nothing. These beings believe in him, because they were with him at one time, yet they tremble at his name:

(James 2:19) . . .You believe that there is one God, do you? You are doing quite well. And yet the demons believe and shudder.

So these are not beings who are deceived. They KNOW the truth, because once they were perfect beings of truth. Thus they are apostates, they have fallen away. And God's word forbids the speaking with an apostate. It does not matter whether it is a human or a spirit.

There is a reason God forbids communication with apostates. They are liars, and hate you. And only wish your destruction. There are those gullible, innocent, and foolish, who cannot perceive this. Even if they don't understand this depth, if they obey they would avoid much problems, and even death. These entities are not our friends, and are very dangerous.

I knew a Wiccan once who believed in doing whatever he wanted. I met him as I was speaking to people from house to house. He invited me into his home. He had a huge beard and mustache, and had a hippy look and vibe to him. He kept talking about, the Bible is stupid and worthless, and don't mention any verses to me. We are our own masters, and morales are relative.

Talking with him a little more revealed to me that this person liked to expose himself to people in public, and had no problem with raping little girls. Really. His idea that there are no morales, only what we make for ourselves, gave himself permission to violate little children.

I left his house feeling dirty and violated myself.

So having a beard makes him a hippy? (Hippies must have been around since biblical times then lol)
He JUST told you he is a rapist? (Hope you reported him otherwise you are a accomplice !)

And as far as I know, Wiccans prescribe to the law of three (I am open to corrections here), what you do comes back threefold. So a real wiccan wouldnt be going around raping unless he wished to be raped in return.
Further, the wiccan rede states An harm none, do as thou wilt. As in you are free to do as you please, but it must not harm others... again I dont see how the raping is wiccan in nature then.

Come to think of it.....You sure he was a wiccan at all and not just a booze filled homeless dude with mental issues?

He did not confess to rape, so I was not an accomplice to anything. He kept stating that nature made man want to mate with a female, that it is human nature. And that there is nothing wrong to fulfill your desires with any woman you see, even if it is a girl, because that is the way nature made us. And he was very clear that he was a Wiccan.

If he actually raped people or was just deranged I do not know. And like was mentioned previously, not all people who claim to be Wiccans believe in the same things. He had this hippy vibe to him, not just because of his beard. I have met hippies who did not have facial hair. It was just his whole lifestyle, the way he lived, the things he had around his place. And his mentioning he was a hippy and a wiccan.

I grew up with a friends mother that was wicken. She was into nature, herbs for medicine, different objects for spirituality. Tarot. Sometimes spells for good or harm. Simple objects for spells like bent nails in the windowsill ect.. Third eye pendants ect.. Never had much faith in it. But the medicines were simple like honey and brandy ect.. for cough. Stuff that was used long ago for ailments. A lot of herbs and spices.

I actually think it's people like you that make this world such a bad place to live for so many.
The idea that anybody who doesnt share your religion is worshipping evil gods.
the idea that everybody else but you is wrong, that you are special and above everybody else.
It's bloody infuriating!
The bible is not the word of God it's blatently stories made up by men, then all those stories were put before another council of men who decided which ones fit the ideology they wanted to push. never mind all the mistranslations that have occurred over the years.
But still your little group are the ones who speak the truth? only because you are too ignorant to open your eyes.

Why do you name call? And why did I know someone was going to point out that servants of Jehovah used divine power to perform miracles, and liken then to the cheap magic tricks that demons perform?

True Jehovah God did have some angels, who obviously have superhuman powers, fall from heaven. But even if you read the account of the ten plagues on Egypt you can see that they could only mimic God's power up to a point.

Jehovah had Moses throw his staff onto the ground and it became a snake. Pharaoh's magic practicing priests, Jannes and Jambres did the same thing. Yet Moses' snake eat the snakes of the magicians.

Moses, by God's power brought a plague of frogs to Egypt. So did the magic practicing priests make frogs appear. But Pharaoh got indignant with them, because he didn't want more frogs, he wanted them to get rid of the plague. He finally had to subcomb and implore Jehovah to get rid of them.

Then the gnats came, and the magic practicing priests could not replicate the plague:

(Exodus 8:16-19) . . .“Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your rod and strike the dust of the earth, and it must become gnats in all the land of Egypt.’” 17 And they did this. Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod and struck the dust of the earth, and the gnats came on man and beast. All the dust of the earth became gnats in all the land of Egypt. 18 The magic-practicing priests tried to do the same and produce gnats by their secret arts, but they could not. And the gnats came on man and beast. 19 So the magic-practicing priests said to Phar′aoh: “It is the finger of God!” But Phar′aoh’s heart continued to be obstinate, and he did not listen to them, just as Jehovah had said.

And even Jesus himself took no credit for the miracles he performed. For example when he brought back the dead man Lazurus to life, after he had been dead for three days, he gave glory to Jehovah, his Father for the miraculous resurrection:

(John 11:41-43) . . .Then Jesus raised his eyes heavenward and said: “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 True, I knew that you always hear me; but I spoke on account of the crowd standing around, so that they may believe that you sent me.” 43 When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice: “Laz′a·rus, come out!”

It is one thing to use demonic power to perform feats of magic, and another to use God's holy spirit to create miracles such as Moses and Jesus performed.

Stop calling people names you do not know. You do realize that they both come from the same realm. Only Jehovah has unlimited power, while he has restricted the use of Satan and his demons powers.
