Oddly enough, I had an idea for this back in high school. It involved the fourth state of matter...plasma. I was thinking, if you could ionize the air within a given shape, into plasma, then it'd make a pretty good shield from many things.

Three big problems of course...

1) The power needs

2) How to ionize just the shield shaped area

3) You couldn't fire out of it

Still, I thought the idea was pretty good in theory.

You want power, here, check out the excaliber! One of these the size of a discman can power entire houses! Seriously, one or a few of those together could be good enough to make a shield of Tesla's.

WOW is excalibur real?? If it is real then know wonder the goverment hasn't upgraded the power grid!

Because it's not real. I took my precious time to read the "physics" in their manifesto, and it's pure unadulterated BS.

And, the "discman" reference in your quote is not a coincidence. It looks like a cheap portable CD player used as a mockup. Boy, idiocy is boundless.

I think this is a scam, to attract a gullible private investor.

Magnetic Shields and the sort are too expensive even in the distant future.
they would require a huge amount of gadgetery to make them work under all scenarios.

Say an enemy throws you a magnetic bomb, in this case the magnetic shield would even be helping them accelerating the bomb and thus provoking a lot more damage than if your target had no magnetic shield at all.

That depends, if it is opositely charged to the shileds then yes, if not BYE BYE BOMB, the shield will throw it in the oposite direction.

that problem would be solved with 2 torpedos launched at the same time, one charged + other charged - , the shield would have a hard time dealing with both.. but yeah i know where you're getting at, that's why i mentioned gadgets, equipment to calculate polarity and stuff like that..
still its a yin and yang thing, the attacker could use similar hardware

good point nevertheless

I never even read it,I just took his word for it,i'm glad I never wasted my time reading it like you.

Ive heard that some people say that the roswell crash craft had that sort of technology in it but its so advanced that we carnt even start to understand let alone backward engerneer it

No, I witnessed the technology, they offer to allow people to witness the technology, and I took them up on that offer, it works, and it works well..

Also, they won't let the government get a hand on this, they'd tax you for it, and make it classified information so we'd have to stay on the grid. Thats why they don't give a physics explanation of this device, yet.

Don't listen to him! It works, I saw it work... That guys saying BS, they have no physics explanation to judge yet, lol. They wouldn't give a physics explanation of the device before it is marketed, that would be a vary unintelligent decision.

I believe you, as I too have some information that lends me to believe that these types of technologies are feasable. The problem many people have is that they intentionally close the system, once you do that if makes extracting outside energy almost impossible. You have to keep the system open, and there are some exotic ways to do that, however you and I will have to wait until later this year to see what happens!

Not likely although I bet the spooks are working on stuff. If you could generate a resonant frequency equal to an objects natural resonance you could shake it apart, but power would be the issue. The em stuff is interesting but what about a 500lb cement dumb practice bomb (or any round for that matter) - em won't do squat when that thing comes a knockin....

Short answer- yes
However this technology won't be publicaly available for another 20-75yrs.

The governments always taking there time to get valuable scientific information out to the public... I just can't see why they do it though, we could use stuff as advanced as this now.

Yeah BUT the bad thing is that the two objects would kinda blow themselves up...you know oposite atract, he he i could just see the two blowing up metres before the target.

There is research on "Cold plasma" shielding, it can obsorbe energy.

to devilwasp. You are right on track. If we were able to surround an object with an E.M. field, we would sort of have a sheild. There is emerging work being done now on just that. Just from what I have read in therory it is feasible but would require very large amounts of energy to put it in place. Scientists now can levitate small objects on top of an E.M. field. My idea is if we could harness the power of a nuke. reactor and get it down to the size of a softball then the reality of providing "sheilds" would be a reality very soon after. Remember when Nuke. subs started to emerge in our weapons inventory? Up to that point it was declared that we could not fit a nuke. reactor in a sub. Impossibe it was said but Admrial Rickover proved them wrong. Now, in our time, we need someone to find this as a challenge and take it from the drawing board and make it a reality.

Flying high, i personally that fusion ?? power plants will solve it.
From what i have heard its the new thing to get but they havent solved the problems yet.

Oh no no its not a question, was saying i think fusion is the new thing to get but i am unsure about it. If someone with more information on it would clarify it would be handy, thats what i meant.

The gov't isn't gonna make public information that could be used against the United States in the long run. Also the stuff has to be tested to make sure it is fully safe and all that.

What will probably happen though is someone will discover some kind of a solution that will solve the problem; like the microchip and the nuclear reactor on the submarine.

And on a side note, wouldn't you have to make sure your EM shield didn't fry the electronics inside the very ship it was protecting???
