Thanks for telling me about Sativex. The article says it might become legal in the US soon. Too bad it costs $16,000 per year.

Ok I'm all for this...

Though this is where I feel I should be allowed to do what I please with my body.

Because in all honesty, who gives a $@&? About this study or the ones that were saying the exact opposite. Let people be FREE!!!!

Does that not make sense to people?

Why do these studies amount to anything... Who is to say this set of experts isn't either bought, or just going with the people etc... This is garbage to people who don't feel this study is true. I'm Saying this shouldn't even be a an argument.

Maximum freedom
Maximum responsibility
Maximum life

Essentially what you said is what I was implying.

Control the masses.

There probably wouldn't be any pharma companies if marijuana was legal.

Lol we would probably run out of land to grow food hahaha.

Try looking into the hundreds (if not thousands by now) peer-reviewed clinical studies that prove a direct link between cannabis and the prevention/curing of certain cancers.

so if you do not have cancer or a history of it in your family is pot still good?

The one aspect of pot that I have seen over and over in my life with friends, family and co-workers is that with heavy users pot seems to drain any kind of drive in life. I'm sure one can provide many examples of successful pot users, but with what I have witness through life that tends to not be the norm.

With the proper help you can overcome this.
In the meantime try not to overwork Handgela.

And all of those reasons are why they want it to be illegal. Look at the side-effects of ANY pharmaceutical drug, and you will find that even if they help the symptoms of one thing or another-they will likely cause some form of discomfort or death eventually. It's sad the way the world works. They want to make money off of people's pain and suffering. I guess it's just a dangerous drug to the pill pushers. Too bad it's still a prison sentence just to want to live....

We will live to see the day that the plant is legalized on a larger scale, but by then I fear that it will be under supreme corporate control/genetic modification, etc., etc. I know for a fact that the plant heals neuron damage and other types of brain damage. I can't talk to much about it, as it would violate ATS' T&C-but it's a proven fact. People that can't eat can use the herb to hold food down, when they couldn't otherwise. The only reason that they want it to be illegal is because they want to make money killing people. I wish there was another planet earth, where the greed wasn't what controlled the world. Money really doesn't matter. I have seen some of the richest most materialistic people in my life, and many of them are unhappy EVERY day. If the world could just get along, it would be a better place. If humanity would just help one another we would have been out to Earth 2.0 by now. Sad state of affairs, but hopefully things will change in the future.

The incessant greed of the mega corporations must end at some point. I wonder if the world will be worth living in when it does happen? IT WILL happen someday...

perhaps someone could help me.

i've been diagnosed with the Trigeminal Neuralgia and it gets worse by the day, im on Tegretol which is making me a zombie, i'll never be fortunate to be offered an operation.

can someone tell me what kind of cannabis i should use, like weed (which i really don't like the smell of) or the stuff you burn and crumble? and which is the best way to take it and how long before i start seeing the benefits as i really want to take something as natural as possible.

thanks.

Hey, I must admit that I have never heard about this disease before but have found something for you.

You should read this thread...

A quote from WildWill

High end indica seem to help my wife quite a bit. Sativas aren't really for pain management, so they won't work very well. Go for the heavy duty indicas

You should be careful with high end indica plants though. Use little at first and see what happens. You might also want to try different strains and see what works best for you. And since you don`t like the smell and all, I`d recommend edibles.

But there might be an alternative as some are mentioning acupuncture as the solution that works for them for a while. At least after several sessions.

Hope this helps...

thanks for the links, its commonly known as the Suicide Disease, i can see why, its horrible.

im in the UK and i think only people with serious cancer can get medical marijuana. what is indica and Sativas? i've also seen vaporisers for cannabis and i haven't got a clue what they do!!

Acupuncture is the next step aswell. the only cannabis i know of is the in a lump which you burn and sprinkle, should i be using that?

thanks again for links and replying.

inidica and sativa refers to the species of the plant.
smoking with tobacco is the worst way to have cannabis as tobacco is highly addictive and harmful.
smoking with a bong is better as the water filters some of the tar out of the smoke.
smoking with a vaporiser is better still as there is no tar or burning compounds.
But the healthiest way is to ingest it. It has to be activated by heat which means putting it in food or burning and crumbling hash into tea. Be aware that this is also the strongest way to take it and you don't need much, also there is a time delay of an hour or two.

I hope you can ease your pain.
