Pat Condell Rants on Free Speech on Campus

I posted this here because it is an epic diatribe against the closing of the student mind on campus. It's about how students are being allowed to protect themselves from ideas and opinions that make them "uncomfortable" and so they are never challenged in their little mental shells.

And he decries the effect this has on the state of education and what it will mean for civilization as a whole. He may take pot shots at religion in here, but he's talking about zealots - zealots of all kinds who will not even entertain a different idea by hearing it out and considering it. That's different than considering an idea and still deciding that your own original belief is still the best one to be going on with. Many of us here do that every day.

Be careful because it is exactly this close minded phenoma that is closing in on all of us and our ability to air our opinions and discuss what makes each of us different. And it makes me sad.

Oh, even the people we disagree with almost constantly will occasionally surprise us. I almost constantly disagree with Bill Maher, but when he gets it right or has a point ... he gets it right or has a point.

Seeing how he wants to strip progressives of their right to free speech then isn't he as afraid and small as the progressives he whines about? But at least this the bigot took a whole three minutes before bringing up Israel what a bootlicker. So all of this is over some bigot being talked down to at a university? After a quick search it seems like Condell is full of crap there is nothing that has been passed in any of the universities about the students right to be comfortable. No wonder Condell is so upset about this seeing how he is nothing but a bigot himself.

What that he is afraid of free speech? He wants to deny other people freedom of speech because he doesn't like them so he is no better than the people he whines about. Also if you check out the links for this video it is all based on one little racist that got chewed out by some people on campus. Freedom of Speech was created to protect unpopular speech not popular speech because popular speech doesn't need protecting.

Progressives are dangerous and need to be exposed.
