Yesterday i was sitting on my computer, when i suddenly noticed that my cat is staring above my head, looking somewhat scared, but it kept looking in one single spot...When i tried to call him by his name he just didn't react much and kept staring, so i thought maybe it's a bug or a sound he's reacting to, but when i tried to figure out what he sees, it just was thin air.
So i tried to disrupt the view where he looked and then he gave me some attention, soon when my head was out from the point of view, he kept staring the exact same spot...So eventually i got a little freaked out, so i tried to play with him, so maybe he'll forget what he sees, but that resulted him getting off the couch and kept staring the same spot only from a different angle.
I later gave up and just wondered what it actually was that he saw.
Then sometime later i went to sleep.

Now where it gets crazy...I woke up, having no memory of seeing any dream...Then suddenly a glimpse of some glowing eyed entity or something, now don't get confused, but i really had such a small glimpse of what i thought i saw, so i really can't describe that glimpse, but this gave me really strange feeling and a feeling as if the memory was forcefully removed and as if blocked from thinking about it...So i dismissed this for myself.

I'm highly speculative of whether it was my subconscious playing a trick on me from yesterday's thoughts with cats seeing paranormal stuff or not, or whether it was aliens

I'm not sure...I just felt it needed sharing,
so thoughts ATS ?

Thank you for reading

your cat wasn't staring. cats are blind. cats use radar. still thinking about what your cat detected.

your cat detected the beam coming from the camera either influencing your thoughts or making you more stupid than you already are unless youre being watched. cover the camera with a band aid. tell your friends. I dont think you are stupid even though it is possible.

Cats are psychic animals on a sense.

Humans have 5 senses, a mind, and emotion all wrapped in a body. Some humans Naturally use abilities of the mind, some learn later, some never understand the nature of it.

Cats are naturally psychic creatures in a sense, not the weird mythical sense. . It's a natural thing. Hence the Egyptians and other cultures held praise for feline creatures.

You can pretend "what you see is what you get"... or live comfortably accepting their are natures you are not aware of.

Nothing to be afraid of..

I think you are thinking "bats" not "cats"..lol, is my cat using his radar when he is chasing the red dot from a lazer pointer? No doubt the ears are important but they are not blind.

My girlfriends cat sits at the bottom of the stairs staring up at them, she does this a lot.
Cats are strange animals, if they think something is there they will sit there and wait for what ever it might be 'hiding'.

My guess is, you got spooked and had a bad dream maybe?

Thank you elementalist for your reply

I am well aware of the Egyptians praising cats and such, i've always known there's something more to what cats see or sense.

As for BucksFizz, i'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish here, but keep on doing whatever you think you are

Many years ago, when we lived in a different place, my dog did a similar thing one day. He was staring at a blank wall and growling softly. No windows on that wall. Nothing was there. Weird.

We found out later that the neighbor had hung himself in his garage. He was not found for over a week. I wasn't sure of the exact day, but it must have happened around the timeframe that my dog was growling at the blank wall -- which happened to face his house.

My cats are kind of derpy. If they seem to be staring into space, it's usually because they hear something I can't. Are there mice in the walls?

That's the thing i did mention yeah, i might have got spooked by such a reaction from my cat and maybe the subconscious played a little trick on me in the morning.
Funny thing however is, that my cat is old...i've been with him since he grew up.
Yes he's been staring into random points in the air many times, but this time he really was kind of scared looking...and also with whiskers shaking and such, i never seen him act like that before, that's what got me spooked...And actually having no memory of dream that night

But sure i still remain skeptical of having this dream-glimpse thingy and this cat connected.

praise for cats is a little misunderstood. cats were used to build the pyramids which is how the building of the pyramids became so precise. the cats head was braced so there was no movement while another cat was placed on a stone with the head braced also. when the cats legs were straight the stone was level.the cats were trained with food. the cat stretch is symbolic of the procedure. both cats met radar. the radar being lob sided meant a cat bent its legs. similar to the crosshairs of a weapon.

Mine chases a red laser on the floor or wall and follows it to the ceiling and back. He is NOT blind.

your cat thinks the laser is a tail. your cat is blind. of course I dont mean blind in the sense of being sightless. cats dont see images.

Buck, could you explain in more detail how cats are blind? Thanks

This has happened to me as well OP in a similar way.

Well, animals (cats are still considered by some as animals, right?) are more sensitive to the unseen side of life than most humans are, according to folklore as well as modern anecdotal experience.

I had a doggy who saw unseen things in my couple haunted homes so often that I am, personally, satisfied that it is so. In other, less odd homes, no, she didn't seem to notice things that weren't visible.

As far as cats being blind and used as radar levels for the pyramids... I back slowly away and am happy people are different as sameness gets dull.

(But *whispers* most healthy cats can see... which is likely due to them having eyes)

Can't help it but you need to get yourself a chair. Shaking some food container next time might get your feline friends attention.

cats use a type of controlled static which is directed by sound. that is why cats rub off you and stuff.
