And it repeats!

Nasty little critters they are. I don't know how much editing power the site has but maybe an "edited because" option is in order.
Really, how often does one explain why they edited typos....

just a thought

I have found great wisdom on those comments from time to time, it's also good to have a proof of editing to avoid faul play.

Possibly the facility was originally intended for Mods, who ought to give a reason for edting people's posts.
I remember seeing the mysterious "Edit because; no reason given [/edit]" on S.O.'s posts some time before the feature was rolled out for the rest of us.

P.S. If you have to edit a second time, because you've just noticed anothet typo, it's possible to edit out the first Edit notice, leaving just the one.

I've been doing that trick for years!
I love the extra time it takes to highlight and delete the second and third edited because texts!
(just so I don't appear stupid)
