There’s an old line in the great movie the Godfather that the don said to his son Micheal

"Keep your friends close but your enemies closer"

I watch O’Reilly dam near every night

I also watch the response to him

It’s no coincidence he has been giving extremely effective ramblings against Obama’s brain dead policy against ISIS.

Then comes this meaningless Brian Williams nonsense

Then comes this Mother Jones hit on O’Reilly right as his talks about ISIS were having great affect on the Obama administration

If you people don’t think Obama and his people and his sinister behind the scenes handlers don’t listen to a man that has millions of people listening to him every night then you are naive

Sure they are jinning up the ISIS war but they want to control every aspect of it on all levels so as they jinn it up they raise their liberal flunkies and Obama and those behind this hit piece to keep things level until they want to do their war on their terms whatever that is.

The neocons may be the ones behind the attack on O’Reilly or a faction of them known as the Neoliberals where many Zionist hang out.

These people always deceive us outwardly

You don’t know who believes in what or who is doing what to whom

All this Obama Netanyahu fight may be all a ruse

These politicians are all liars, puppets and actors, bad actors at that

My theory may be true only on the level of the liberals or a liberal going after O’Reilly for his vehemenant attack on Obama but I think it’s much deeper

Sure O’Reilly is a common Jerk

But what you don’t understand is that people aren’t stupid all of the time

And sometimes they support issues you support

That’s not true. For if it were we'd be at war.

Many Liberals such as MSNBC types and many others are totally against a more vigorous attack on ISIS

This is when they use the left/right paradigm to their advantage

Fox News and O’Reilly are the main supporters of a more extreme attack on ISIS... He is the point man in that

The PTB obviously don’t want that now for whatever sick reason they have devised

They want us to witness more savagery for reasons obviously having NOTHING to do with ramping up for a war that should have already been enough to start

The Obama-Netanyahu thing is real.

There are fundamentally two factions in the U.S. (not the GOP and DNC) with each focusing on different agendas.

One, has all their eggs in the Middle East basket. These are Bush-43, Cheney, and the rest of the neo-con pond scum. Very keen on Israel.

The other, is hedging their bets more toward Asia. These are Bush-41, Brzezinski , the Clintons, and Obama, the CFR faction. Not as keen on Israel but they play when they have to.

Those are your main players, and if you watch geopolitics very carefully and notice the subtleties and where the focus is, you can see each one's power ebb and flow.

And of course there are some subfactions within each and some wannabes too. But that's sort of the gist of it.

Damn, those pesky facts keep getting in the way!

1. ISIS is in retreat and being pounded.
2. Obama's decisions on dealing with ISIS has encouraged the Arab states to act when otherwise they would have sat on their corrupt butts and let the US finance their protection. Protection from people even more sexist, homophobic, abusive and authoritarian then them.
3. O'Reilly is a loudmouth, a troll, a political sh*t slinger who's only b**ching now because his nonsense is no longer being tolerated.

Maybe because he has voiced an opinion on Brian Williams.

Bill O’Reilly Suspects Brian Williams Made Up Story to Sound ‘Cool’

Maybe Pot should not be calling the kettle black.\

Defend his BS all you want, still a scumbag.

Also why do you guys bring up fox and his ratings. They are so high because right wingers only have channel to get their propaganda from. While the left has many choices.

If there was only one left propaganda station..I would bet their ratings would also be high.

I wish that all liars in the news media would get this treatment.

I wonder if there are any truthful members of the news opinion services.

Do you know the CFR stand on this issue?

It is against OBAMA!

They advocate a alliance with Syria.

A guy like O’Reilly is too simple minded to believe in such a nuance as this

But it’s interesting they, the CFR, at least on its face are totally against what Obama is doing so far

He isn’t with the straight up neocons and obviously not with the ZIONIST IF ALL THIS Netanyahu stuff is legit.

So its clear Obama is a puppet of one of these groups

And unless the CFR boys are lying it isn’t with them

To delay the war against ISIS and let it further muck up Syria is in whose interest?

Remember folks when you’re thinking on this level often

Black is white and white is black!

So if Obama has gone off on his own

Then that would raise some serious problems for him

Facts?

The former head of the United Kingdom military warned that air strikes alone will not defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militant group and that western governments are wrong to rule out deployment of ground troops, the Sunday Times reported.

A military operation similar to the campaign that toppled Saddam Hussein in 2003 is necessary to wipe out the extremist group, General Lord Richards, who stepped down as chief of the defense staff last year, said. “The only way to defeat [ISIS] is to take back land they are occupying which means a conventional military operation,” he told British weekly.
english.alarabiya.net...

Most generals say this will take a long time and that Obama's methodology won't work

I agree O'Reilly isn't George Washington and this thread IS NOT about defending him

Subfactions. And even subfactions that attempt to throw you off, more along the lines of what you may have been alluding to in your OP. I meant to mention that. Sometimes they play the other side while working from within.

No. There are subfactions within each, and sometimes they play nice and sometimes they don't. A subfaction of either may break off and fake us out. I've been watching these people for a very long time, just observing the maneuverings and resulting activities.

ETA: I think the CFR's attraction to/interaction with Israel is not as...how shall I put it...genuine. And there is some tension between them and Obama because he's a little more rogue.

The echo chamber is massive. There are a thousand other mouthpieces spewing the same crap. If O'Reilly resigned in shame tomorrow, how would that actually change anything?

Did it ever occur to you that your opinion about how to deal with ISIS isn't one that other people share and not because they've been co-opted by a sinister agenda? Post after post about how weak Obama is but I've yet to see you present and defend what you feel would be the appropriate course of action. What's really ironic to me is that while you keep beating the drums of war, you simultaneously criticize drone strikes for "killing children." You don't see the inconsistencies in your reasoning?

I say let the countries in the region lead the battle against ISIS. The more invested they are in keeping groups like this from cropping up, the more they'll act against the elements within their own borders that support them. Have you been paying attention to what the GOP positions have been? For instance, Lindsey Graham's idea is to double-down on the failed foreign policy of regime change and nation building that set the stage for ISIS. He says the same garbage you do and his plan is to fight ISIS in Iraq and Syria and remove the Assad regime and in his estimation, this can all be accomplished with 10,000 US troops.

Then what? Try to cobble together and prop up a pro-US regime in Syria and accomplish nothing substantial except creating the sort of resentment for the US that is the bread and butter of groups like ISIS? Can't you see the cycle?

By using the liberal vs conservative rhetoric you are basing your argument on a logic fallacy, a false dichotomy.

While Bill O. has become an icon in the Fox News business of creating entertainment pieces and selling it as news, I personally do not think he is a bad person. I am rooting for him to pull a Will McAvoy* live and on the air.

*Will McAvoy is the main character in the series The Newsroom.

This is a nice summation of the situation at hand and a great reason why we have no business fighting ISIS. Let the powers in the Middle East take care of their own problem.

You assign WAY WAY too much influence to Bill O'Reilly. His bloviating is not some danger to US Policy or sentiment. He does not require some campaign to discredit him. He was not taken seriously by anyone outside the far right to begin with...the same folks that plug their ears when his BS is exposed.

He lied...he got busted...bottom line.

Does the left wing celebrate it? Sure...just like the right wing celebrated Williams getting caught BSing.

Though I am still confused why the right wing considered Brian Williams a left-winger? Unlike O'Reilly, Williams worked to walk the center line. I think objective reporting itches the far right.

But when you get past who is happy about it...you face the facts of what he claimed vs. reality...and he lied.
